AI Summary

Manage customer account setup and updates, maintain CRM data quality, and coordinate territory and account assignments. Support Salesforce users, create training and process documentation, and produce standard and ad hoc reports while monitoring data completeness and adoption.

This is eligible to be a fully remote role.

The Sales Operations Analyst keeps the day-to-day work of Sales Operations running smoothly. This role handles customer account setup and updates, territory and account assignment changes, CRM data quality and routine reporting, so the sales and customer teams can spend their time with customers.

Reporting to the Sales Operations Manager, the analyst is often the first point of contact for requests from sales and customer experience staff, and helps build the training materials and process documents the team relies on.

Key responsibilities

Customer accounts and data quality

  • Set up and update customer accounts in Salesforce and the ERP, following company standards.
  • Find and fix duplicate, incomplete or incorrect account and contact records.
  • Track account requests and meet agreed turnaround times.

Territories and assignments

  • Update territory and account assignments as reps join, leave or change roles.
  • Keep territory lists and assignment rules current and easy to find.

Salesforce and process support

  • Answer how-to questions and resolve routine Salesforce issues for sales and customer teams.
  • Help create user guides, quick-reference sheets and training materials.
  • Support Salesforce and process training sessions led by the Sales Operations Manager.
  • Document sales processes and suggest improvements.

Reporting

  • Build and run standard Salesforce reports and dashboards.
  • Pull data for ad hoc requests, in partnership with the Sales Analyst.
  • Monitor data completeness and adoption, and flag gaps to the Sales Operations Manager.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years in sales operations, sales support, customer service or a data-focused role.
  • Hands-on experience with a CRM, ideally Salesforce.
  • Strong Excel skills, including lookups, pivot tables and data cleanup.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage many requests at once.
  • Clear communicator who enjoys helping others use systems and processes.

Preferred

  • Experience in B2B distribution, especially laboratory, scientific, healthcare or industrial supplies.
  • Experience with ERP systems and customer master data.
  • Salesforce Administrator certification or progress toward it.
