We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Civil Attorney to join our esteemed legal team. The ideal candidate will be a licensed attorney in both California and Nevada, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the field. Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in court and before government agencies, presenting evidence to defend or prosecute in civil litigation.
- Conduct research, interview clients and witnesses, and handle other details in preparation for trial.
- Prepare and draft legal documents, such as wills, deeds, patent applications, mortgages, leases, and contracts.
- Advise clients concerning business transactions, claim liability, advisability of prosecuting or defending lawsuits, or legal rights and obligations.
- Negotiate settlements of civil disputes.
- Supervise legal assistants and junior attorneys, providing guidance and mentorship.
- Maintain a high level of professional conduct and adhere to all ethical standards of the legal profession.
- Stay updated on current legislation and regulations that are relevant to the practice.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
- A current license to practice law in California and Nevada.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in civil litigation.
- Exceptional research, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a high volume of cases and work within strict deadlines.
- Proficiency in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with a commitment to providing superior client service.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
