Paralegal (Onsite/Hybrid)

Position OverviewThe Paralegal is a member of the Legal Department and assistsattorneys with the preparation and review of documents and correspondence andprovides support to AgriBank and its board of directors in general corporate,transactional, and regulatory matters.

Job Functions
Legal Support
  • Supports Legal Department attorneys, the bank board of directors, and other bank departments in general corporate, regulatory, and transactional matters relating to all aspects of bank business
  • Conducts research and prepares precise analytical work product on issues related to bank business
  • Prepares documents and correspondence with internal and external parties, including regulatory agencies, district associations and bank business partners
  • Maintains knowledge of regulatory and statutory framework of the bank
  • Monitors statutory and regulatory developments for bank compliance purposes
  • Supports Legal Department attorneys in required regulatory tracking, reporting and filing
  • Reviews third party contracts; identifies and resolves issues
  • Reviews contracts and works collaboratively with Legal Department attorneys to provide pragmatic and innovative legal solutions to business partners
  • Delivers high quality, efficient and timely work product
  • Tracks and monitors compliance with vendor management program, internal policies and internal procedures
  • Understands business issues outside of basic legal context
  • Supports attorneys in various subject matterareas as assigned

Education and Experience
  • Associate's degree in paralegal studies or bachelor's degree with paralegal certification from an accredited educational institution
  • 1-3 years of paralegal experience
  • Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job
