Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Project Coordinator to join our team! In this remote role, you will provide project coordination and program-office support for Parsons’ execution of the FAA’s Brand New Air Traffic Control System. Your initial focus will be supporting the staffing, hiring, onboarding, and workforce-mobilization activities required to rapidly build the program team. You will also coordinate special projects, process improvements, management reporting, and other emerging program priorities.

This position is well suited for a highly organized and adaptable professional who can bring structure to complex activities, work across multiple organizations, solve problems, and take ownership of assignments from initial planning through completion.

T5 Program Summary: The Federal Aviation Administration awarded the Technical Support Services Contract 5, T5, to Parsons in April 2023. Parsons is the prime contractor. This $1.8+ billion contract has a 4-year base period with two 3-year options. The statement of work includes a variety of activities that support the FAA’s Capital Investment Plan, certain reimbursable programs, FAA modernization initiatives, national security programs, and aviation safety. Work includes site selection and engineering, construction, environmental and fire/life safety, equipment installation and testing, drafting, contract surveillance, and other technical services as required. Work is performed across the nation in each of the FAA’s nine regions, as well as at the Aeronautical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, the Technical Center in Atlantic City, New Jersey, and several U.S. territories.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Provide project coordination and program-office support for staffing, hiring, onboarding, workforce mobilization, management reporting, process improvement, and other assigned program initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, action-item logs, responsibility assignments, risk and issue registers, dependencies, and status reports for assigned activities.
  • Work closely with program leadership, project managers, Talent Acquisition, Human Resources, hiring managers, interview teams, security personnel, information technology teams, finance, and other functional organizations.
  • Coordinate high-volume candidate activities from initial candidate identification and résumé review through interviews, selection, offers, pre-employment requirements, onboarding, and integration into the program.
  • Organize interviews across multiple positions, candidates, interviewers, schedules, and time zones, ensuring that required information, decisions, and feedback are captured and communicated promptly.
  • Maintain accurate staffing plans, requisition logs, candidate trackers, interview records, onboarding trackers, personnel status reports, and other program-management tools.
  • Coordinate onboarding readiness activities, including start dates, required documentation, background and suitability processing, equipment, system access, training, orientation, and program integration.
  • Monitor activities against established plans, schedules, and milestones; identify delays, gaps, or emerging risks; and work with responsible stakeholders to develop and complete corrective actions.
  • Take ownership of assigned projects and coordination challenges, determine the actions required, engage the appropriate stakeholders, and drive activities through completion.
  • Support special hiring campaigns, candidate outreach initiatives, workforce-planning efforts, and other projects intended to increase candidate flow, improve hiring throughput, and support program growth.
  • Support change-management and communication activities associated with new processes, tools, reporting methods, onboarding practices, and other program improvements.
  • Analyze staffing, hiring, onboarding, schedule, and program data to identify trends, bottlenecks, aging actions, resource constraints, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain Excel-based trackers, dashboards, charts, reports, and analytical tools that provide leadership with clear, accurate, and timely management information.
  • Support resource planning, labor forecasting, budget tracking, schedule monitoring, and performance reporting for assigned projects and program-office initiatives.
  • Prepare recurring and ad hoc reports, presentations, decision materials, and executive-level updates for program, business, and FAA customer leadership.
  • Plan and support staffing reviews, project meetings, working sessions, and management reviews, including agenda development, material preparation, meeting notes, decisions, action-item ownership, and follow-up.
  • Coordinate activities across multiple organizations, reconcile incomplete or conflicting information, and ensure stakeholders have a consistent understanding of priorities, responsibilities, schedules, and status.
  • Identify process gaps and develop practical improvements to workflows, templates, procedures, reporting tools, dashboards, and communication routines.
  • Manage multiple concurrent assignments involving different stakeholders, schedules, priorities, and levels of complexity.
  • Provide project coordination support for other special projects, program-office activities, and emerging business priorities as assigned.

What Required Skills You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, project management, human resources, communications, organizational management, engineering, construction management, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 3+ years of related experience in project coordination, program support, business operations, staffing operations, recruiting coordination, workforce planning, onboarding, or a similar environment.
  • Working knowledge of fundamental project-management concepts, including scope, schedules, milestones, risks, issues, dependencies, resources, action tracking, and status reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and coordinate complex activities involving multiple stakeholders, priorities, deliverables, and deadlines.
  • Strong initiative and the ability to take ownership of assignments, determine required actions, solve problems, and drive work to completion.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including formulas, tables, filters, conditional formatting, pivot tables, charts, and the organization and analysis of large data sets.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate information across multiple trackers, systems, reports, and workstreams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to investigate discrepancies, evaluate incomplete or conflicting information, identify potential impacts, and recommend practical solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate professionally with candidates, technical personnel, functional organizations, executives, customers, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage a high volume of concurrent activities and adjust effectively to changing priorities.
  • Experience developing project plans, schedules, dashboards, status reports, presentations, meeting materials, action-item logs, and management-level briefings.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Teams, and other standard business collaboration tools.
  • Ability to work independently with limited direction, exercise sound judgment, and appropriately elevate significant risks, decisions, or delays.
  • Ability to handle candidate, personnel, customer, and business information with professionalism, confidentiality, and discretion.
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote environment while remaining responsive, accountable, and closely connected with a geographically dispersed team.
  • Must be willing to travel occasionally to support program meetings, hiring activities, customer coordination, or other business needs.
  • Must be able to meet customer security requirements. A background check by federal authorities may be performed.

  • CAPM, Lean Six Sigma, or other project-management or process-improvement training or certification is preferred but not required.
  • Demonstrated interest and potential to grow into increasingly complex project-management and program-execution responsibilities.

Salary Range: $30.58 - $53.51
