The Product Manager will own specific product areas within Webgility Online, driving initiatives from discovery to completion. They will work directly with engineering and customers to scope, prioritize, and ship features that solve quantified pain points.
This is a remote position.
Webgility is a SaaS company that automates ecommerce accounting and operations, helping small-to-midsize ecommerce businesses sync sales channels (Amazon, Shopify, eBay, and more) with accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, and more). Webgility Online (WO) serves customers who need their books to stay accurate and current with minimal manual work. We use AI agents extensively across our own internal operations — from product and engineering workflows to customer support — and expect the same comfort working alongside AI tools day-to-day.
We're hiring a Product Manager to own specific product areas within Webgility Online, working closely with engineering, customers, and the broader product org to reduce errors, improve retention, and ship features that solve quantified customer pain — not to run processes for its own sake.
This is an execution-heavy, high-autonomy role. You'll be expected to identify problems, work with engineering to scope and ship solutions, talk to customers directly, and drive initiatives to completion without needing to be walked through each step.
Own outcomes for assigned product areas within WO — not just a backlog
Work directly with engineering teams to scope, prioritize, and ship — day-to-day, not just at sprint ceremonies
Talk to customers directly: discovery calls, support/ticket signal review, validating solutions before and after ship
Write specs/PRDs, prioritize using data (churn risk, customer pain severity, support volume), and track outcomes post-launch
Partner with retention, support, and engineering stakeholders to close the loop between customer pain and shipped fixes
Experience
Minimum 5 years of total professional experience, including at least 3 years in a dedicated Product Management role — not project management, program management, or scrum-only product-owner roles
Demonstrated ownership of product outcomes, not just feature delivery — has worked in a product organization where success is measured by customer/business impact, not ticket throughput
Has built and shipped customer-facing software products — B2B or B2C, either is acceptable
Domain Background
Strong preference: experience with accounting-related products (bookkeeping, financial close/reconciliation, ERP-accounting integrations, QuickBooks/Xero-adjacent tools, etc.)
Moderate preference: experience with ecommerce, integrations/middleware, or fintech products
Way of Working
High agency — proven ability to drive tactical execution independently, without needing to be told the next step
Works directly with engineering (not just facilitating ceremonies) and directly with customers (discovery, feedback loops, validation) — not someone who only relays between the two
Track record of seeing initiatives through to completion with minimal hand-holding or oversight
Not a fit: candidates whose experience is limited to internal product-owner or project-management functions — running scrum ceremonies, grooming backlogs, or tracking tickets to closure — without genuine ownership of product outcomes
PM Fundamentals
Strong grounding in core PM fundamentals: problem discovery, prioritization frameworks, writing specs/PRDs, roadmap planning, data-informed decision-making, and stakeholder management
