Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Product Delivery Manager to embed within one of our product verticals and accelerate how quickly and reliably that team turns ideas into launched, adopted value. As a member of the Product Operations team, you own how product work flows — from ideation through definition to launch and early adoption — and you are accountable for the delivery flow and value-creation speed of your vertical on the product side of the house.

Everyone is asking for more delivery speed. This role exists to provide it — not by adding process, ceremonies, or status reporting, but by removing the friction, handoffs, and bottlenecks that slow teams down and by helping teams find more collaborative, efficient ways of working. You make teams faster by simplifying how work moves, not by managing more of it.

This is a hands-on, influence-driven role. You lead through facilitation, coaching, and trust — earning alignment across Product, Design, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success, and driving the best from talented people to move work forward. If you are energized by unblocking great teams and have a track record of making delivery measurably faster and more reliable, we want to hear from you.

What you will do

  • Own end-to-end product delivery flow for your vertical. Map how product work moves from discovery and definition through launch to early adoption, find where it stalls, queues, or thrashes — decision latency, unclear requirements, unowned handoffs — and drive the changes that smooth it.

  • Run intake and definition readiness. Make sure ideas flow to engineering’s doorstep timely, well-formed, sequenced and prioritized.

  • Own launch readiness and the go-to-market last mile. Partner with Marketing, Sales, Enablement, and Customer Success so releases land with adoption, not just ship. Keep the launch team’s flow in step with build velocity so faster upstream work doesn’t simply relocate the bottleneck to launch.

  • Create transparency into results. We don’t just ship features; we solve customer problems. Drive transparency into the results our work realizes, and coordinate actions across teams based on learnings.

  • Improve predictability. Help your vertical make commitments it can keep and keep the commitments it makes. Build lightweight forecasting and planning practices the team actually trusts and uses across the product-controllable stages.

  • Coach better ways of working. Help Product, Design, GTM partners, and others adopt more collaborative, efficient, agile practices. Strip out ceremonies and handoffs that don’t earn their cost and introduce only the lightest practices that improve flow.

  • Own product execution. Absorb the coordination, scheduling, status roll-ups, and dependency-management in your vertical. Create lightweight ways to maintain alignment across individuals and teams.

  • Make delivery health visible. Maintain a clear, honest, low-overhead view of product-side cycle time, predictability, launch on-time rate, and early adoption signals that helps the team improve and helps leadership see reality.

  • Lead through influence. Drive the best from teams that don’t report to you, building alignment across Product, Design, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success.

  • Take on broader initiatives. Beyond your primary vertical, lead or support departmental and cross-organizational product-operations projects as capacity and needs allow — bringing the same delivery discipline to initiatives that span teams.

Key Objectives

Success in this role looks like a product-delivery system that is faster, more reliable, and easier for everyone to understand and trust. Some of that shows up in metrics; just as much shows up in how the vertical feels to work in and work with.

A fast and reliable system:

  • Cycle time trends down — the time from idea committed to value defined, launched, and adopted gets shorter across the stages the product org controls.

  • Predictability improves — the vertical hits its commitments more reliably and forecast converges with actual.

  • Launches land on time and land well — release readiness keeps pace with build velocity and launches convert to adoption rather than just shipping.

A healthier, more transparent way of working:

  • Shared visibility — everyone across the organization understands the status and value of the work in the vertical, without chasing updates.

  • Adaptability — the team can re-prioritize and respond quickly to changing market and organizational needs without losing momentum.

  • Trust in the process — delivery practices feel lightweight and genuinely useful to the team, not like overhead imposed on them.

  • Early, open risk-handling — blockers and dependencies, including those at the engineering interface, surface early and without blame, so they get resolved before they become delays.

  • Honest commitments — the vertical operates with a realistic, shared understanding of its capacity and what it can credibly take on.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years running delivery for software or product teams — as a Delivery Manager, Program Manager, Product Operations Manager, Launch Manager, or related role working with software delivery and go-to-market teams.

  • A demonstrated track record of making teams measurably faster or more predictable, with the ability to speak to how — the specific changes you drove, not just the ceremonies you ran.

  • Fluency in modern delivery practice (Agile, Lean, Kanban), applied to product and cross-functional ways of working, with the judgment to use the lightest approach that works rather than dogma.

  • A systems thinker who sees the whole value stream — able to spot where flow breaks across functions and sequence work to keep it moving end to end.

  • Passion for leading teams that don’t report to you directly, earning trust quickly and driving the best from cross-functional partners.

  • Strong facilitation, coaching, prioritization, and diplomacy skills.

  • Comfort managing dependencies and risk across Product, GTM, and the engineering interface.

  • Data driven, comfortable compiling and sharing project management, product and key business metrics.

  • Proven launch and go-to-market coordination — owning the full lifecycle from ideation through release and adoption, not launch alone.

  • A bias toward removing process — appropriately suspicious of ceremonies and reports that don’t earn their keep.

  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and changing environment, demonstrating flexibility and resilience.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.

  • Experience in B2B SaaS software environment.

  • Proficiency with project and work-management tools (e.g., Jira, Productboard), delivery-metrics reporting (e.g., Plandek.)
