Shepherd Controls is looking for a driven sales professional to join our team in San Antonio. Shepherd Controls & Associates is a distributor of industrial automation products and solutions. We help manufacturers and other industrial customers solve real-world challenges through automation, making their operations smarter, faster, and more productive.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a basic understanding of the product lines we represent, as well as the industrial automation industry as a whole.
• Build relationships with new and existing customers to grow your territory.
• Prospect and develop new accounts through targeted outreach, leads, and networking.
• Provide customers with live product demonstrations.
• Collaborate with our internal solutions group and supplier partners to develop solutions using Shepherd’s broad automation portfolio.
• Present solutions that connect technical capabilities to real business outcomes.
• Build and manage a healthy sales pipeline in Salesforce.

Experience

Any combination of the following is valuable:

• Industrial automation, controls, robotics, or related technical experience.
• Technical B2B or outside sales experience.
• Engineering, manufacturing, maintenance, or applications experience.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field—or equivalent experience.
