Named Account Manager – Public Sector Location: Belfast, Northern Ireland

We are seeking a Named Account Manager based in Belfast to drive growth across Northern Ireland, with a dedicated focus on public sector customers. You will act as the primary account owner for named public sector organisations, developing trusted relationships and guiding them through their cybersecurity transformation journey.

As a Named Account Manager, you will:

  • Drive new business pitches, onboard new public sector clients effectively, and grow existing customer relationships
  • Build and execute strategic account and business plans for named public sector accounts and new business opportunities
  • Serve as the primary interface between customers and internal teams across Fortinet
  • Develop strong relationships with customer contacts up to Executive C-level, understanding business imperatives, regulatory requirements, and IT drivers
  • Articulate Fortinet’s value proposition through a consultative selling approach tailored to public sector needs
  • Strategically orchestrate internal resources to maximise sales volume and ensure successful delivery
  • Conduct quarterly business reviews to demonstrate ROI and ensure long-term customer success
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Fortinet’s product roadmap to support customer planning and reduce risk

We Are Looking For:

  • At least five years of sales experience with a proven track record in enterprise or public sector selling
  • Experience managing full sales cycles including prospecting, presenting, negotiating, and closing
  • Background in cybersecurity or a closely related technology area such as networking, cloud, or SaaS
  • Demonstrated understanding of public sector procurement processes and frameworks
  • A proactive, goal-driven mindset with resilience and independence
  • Strong strategic thinking skills, with experience in cross-selling, upselling, and developing long-term client relationships
