Position Overview

Are you a life-long learner, curious about the world around you?

Are you passionate about inclusion and the profound impact of global learning?

Are you ready to bring your unique skills to a mission-driven organization?

If so, we would love to welcome you to our global community as a Marketing Technology Administrator!

The  Marketing Technology Administrator will own the day-to-day administration, maintenance, and health of our marketing technology stack. HubSpot is our primary platform and will be the center of gravity for this role—roughly half your time will be spent inside it. The rest will be spread across our CMS, analytics, Salesforce sync, and the API connections that tie our systems together.

A major early project will be building multi-touch attribution in HubSpot, mapping the full student journey from lead generation through enrollment so we can see which campaigns drive ROI and where prospects fall off along the way. That work will shape how the company measures marketing’s contribution to enrollment.

You’ll be the person who builds workflows, fixes forms, cleans CRM data, manages permissions, and keeps the systems talking to each other. Marketing leadership own strategy, roadmap, budget, and vendor selection, but because you’ll be closest to the platforms, we’ll expect your input on what’s working, what isn’t, and what we should consider next.

You’ll report to the AVP, Web and Digital Marketing—a technical leader with a background in web development, IT, and digital marketing. This is not a distant manager. They remain hands-on with the stack and will serve as both a thought partner and implementation partner. You’ll own day-to-day administration; the AVP will provide mutual backup, co-build complex initiatives like multi-touch attribution, and help unblock cross-functional issues.

You’ll be joining a growing marketing team and with you in place, we can fully support the new business growth initiatives  across multiple departments.

The Institute for Study Abroad (IFSA) was founded in 1988 as a provider of study abroad programming for U.S. undergraduates. With student success in mind, the organization creates global learning environments designed to foster the development of critical perspectives, knowledge, and skills essential for students to thrive in the future. Offering more than 100 programs in 19 countries, we draw upon theory and evidence-based practice to create a variety of program models and flexible academic options in alignment with the needs of partners and students. Our commitments to inclusive excellence, intercultural agility, individualized learning, and enduring impact  are present in every aspect of our programs. We are committed to building an inclusive and equitable organization, and we look for positive-minded, adaptable people from diverse communities and cultures to help us transform our sector and change the lives of the students we serve.

In this position, your responsibilities would include:

HubSpot Administration

Marketing Hub is our primary marketing platform and enterprise email delivery system. You’ll own the end-to-end administration, with the AVP as a partner on complex builds and a backup for critical tasks.

  • Manage roles, teams, and permission sets, including onboarding and offboarding, and own property creation, naming conventions, and field definitions.
  • Maintain lifecycle stage definitions across the team.
  • Build and tune lead scoring models with Marketing & Engagement department leadership.
  • Build, test, and troubleshoot workflows, forms, progressive profiling, dependent fields, lists, and CTAs.
  • Administer email templates, subscription types, send health, and list hygiene.
  • Run deduplication, enrichment, bounce management, and lifecycle cleanup to the standards set with our data governance analyst.
  • Build and maintain dashboards for marketing and executive stakeholders.
  • Manage consent settings, subscription types, GDPR/CAN-SPAM compliance, and retention.
  • Test every change in sandbox before production and document what changed and why.

Data Governance & Systems Integration
You’ll partner with our Data Governance and IT teams to put their standards and tools into practice across our marketing stack, while supporting existing maintenance operations and long-term projects to resolve data friction. The AVP will help escalate and unblock cross-functional issues as needed.

  • Apply data standards, definitions, and quality controls across marketing systems in collaboration with our Data Governance Analyst.
  • Document definitions, field mappings, and data lineage; keep them current as systems change.
  • Monitor the HubSpot–Salesforce sync and resolve errors, mismatches, and mapping issues; partner with the Salesforce team on data flows.
  • Flag data quality issues upstream, particularly from Salesforce, and work with the governance team and Salesforce admins on resolution.
  • Ensure the touchpoint and outcome data required for multi-touch attribution is captured, mapped, and reliable across systems.

Broader MarTech Stack
Alongside HubSpot, you’ll administer the supporting marketing stack—WordPress CMS support (page QA, redirects, form embeds), analytics and tagging, paid and social reporting data, and the API connections between systems. The AVP will co-implement on high-priority integrations and troubleshooting.

  • Administer GA4 and Google Tag Manager, including tags, triggers, variables, and conversion events; own UTM taxonomy and naming standards across the team.
  • Maintain the tracking and conversion data that makes paid and social campaign reporting usable, in collaboration with our Ad Operations Manager.
  • Monitor our API connections to other platforms, principally Salesforce, and resolve failures as they arise.

Attribution & Reporting
You and the AVP will co-build the initial multi-touch attribution model in HubSpot, with you leading ongoing maintenance and refinement. This gives the Research team the campaign ROI visibility their funnel analysis depends on.

  • Implement and maintain multi-touch attribution in HubSpot using native models, giving the Research team the campaign ROI visibility their funnel analysis depends on.
  • Instrument the tracking and data required for attribution across channels, campaigns, and lifecycle stages, working with the governance team and Salesforce admins where the journey crosses systems.
  • Build and maintain recurring reports for weekly and monthly marketing reviews.
  • Triage intake queue requests, maintain documentation, and train new users on the stack.

Requirements, Work Experience and Education

  • Bachelor’s degree with substantial relevant experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of 2–4 years of hands-on experience administering HubSpot, with depth in Marketing Hub Professional proficiency in written and spoken English, at CEFR B2 or higher, including the ability to present complex analysis clearly to senior leaders
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain workflows, properties, forms, lists, and dashboards without supervision.
  • Experience with data hygiene: deduplication, enrichment, lifecycle management, and consent.
  • Experience managing integrations between HubSpot and other systems, ideally including Salesforce.
  • Working knowledge of GA4 and Google Tag Manager.
  • Experience with attribution or campaign tracking, including an understanding of how touchpoint data is captured, modeled, and reported across channels.
  • Basic HTML and CSS — enough to troubleshoot forms, email templates, and landing pages.
  • Strong documentation habits. You write things down, so you don’t have to remember them.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders across departments.
  • Legal authorization to work in Mexico, physically reside in Mexico City or Mérida.
  • Preferred qualifications include:
  • HubSpot certifications (Marketing Hub, Operations Hub, or Solutions Partner).
  • Experience with Operations Hub, custom objects, or API-based integrations.
  • Experience working alongside a Salesforce admin team or managing a HubSpot–Salesforce sync.
  • Experience with the WordPress CMS, or any other content management system.
  • Experience maintaining tracking and reporting data from paid media or social platforms.
  • Familiarity with GDPR, CCPA, and email compliance requirements.

We know there are great candidates who won’t check all these boxes, and we also know you might bring important perspectives, experiences, and skills that we haven’t considered. If this describes you, please don’t hesitate to apply and tell us about yourself.

Physical and Work Environment

  • Working on a computer, placing phone/video calls, updating systems and files
  • Availability and ability to occasionally meet and work outside of standard local business hours in support of collaborating with global teams across multiple time zones.
  • Occasional travel may be required, both domestic and international
