We are seeking an experienced and dynamic CSR / Social impact professional with a strong senior-level presence, a passion for servicing leaders and fostering connection and community, and a business development track record to lead the growth and impact of the corporate social impact pillar of our Institutional Member community.

The Opportunity:

The Managing Director, Membership (Social Impact Practice) will grow and refine the program and go-to-market strategy for our Institutional Membership segment serving CSR, Social Impact and Corporate Philanthropic (often the same person) leaders at the most influential and ambitious companies. As a Practice Lead, you will manage and grow an essential element of NationSwell's membership by hitting new business goals as well as driving renewals. Fundamental to your success will be understanding the true needs of CSR leaders at large companies, providing high value and cut through thought-partnership and support, tapping your existing network, and building new relationships.

Salary: The salary for this position is $200,000-$250,000 base plus uncapped commission.

Location: Remote (within the United States)

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and Execute Strategy for Social Impact Segment

  • Develop strategy for differentiated market presence and impact to contribute meaningfully to the social impact field and to a growing number of corporate social impact leader members
  • Develop and execute plan to leverage NationSwell's unique convening, thought leadership and community building capabilities to grow our impact and business

Grow Social Impact Membership Practice

  • Drive annual recurring revenue, net retention, member growth and NPS of book of business
  • Build relationships with senior CSR leaders and provide the highest level strategic thought-partnership, support and relationship management
  • Recruit new members to the IM community
  • Manage an account servicing team and business development associate once key thresholds are met
  • Provide input in overall BD strategy
  • Assist with coaching and developing BD team members

Contribute to IM Management Team and Content & Programing Team

  • Serve as a thought partner to Chief Experience Officer and other Practice Leads in the design and evolution of the IM program (events, insights, communications, new service offerings etc.)
  • Work closely with our Insights and Events teams to define the research products and reports, roundtables, and other virtual and in-person events that will provide the most value to our Social Impact members

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of experience working in the corporate social impact / CSR space; this may be in a senior role at a services company and/or in a major corporation working on impact-related programs
  • Demonstrated ability to develop new partnerships, meet revenue targets, and drive business development
  • Extensive knowledge of Corporate Social Impact/ CSR levers, networks, leaders and frameworks
  • Account management and/or consulting experience
  • Experience developing go-to-market strategies
  • Strong business acumen, creative mindset, and entrepreneurial spirit
  • Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Outstanding communication and presentation abilities
  • Ability to lead fast-moving, mission-driven teams
