The LBS Finance Site Liaison team partners across Lifepoint to deliver accurate, timely, and consistent accounting support in a complex healthcare environment. This hands-on leadership role combines team management with direct accounting responsibility, including ownership of the overhead ledger, and works closely with Finance and operational partners across the organization.

 

How you’ll contribute

A Finance Site Liaison Manager who excels in this role:

• Leads and develops members of the Site Liaison Finance team, providing day-to-day direction, coaching, workload management, and oversight of accounting deliverables.

• Serves as a hands-on working manager, balancing leadership responsibilities with direct participation in accounting activities, including preparing journal entries and reviewing work completed by team members.

• Owns the accounting and financial management of the overhead ledger, ensuring activity is complete, accurate, appropriately supported, and recorded timely.

• Oversees month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities within the manager’s area of responsibility, ensuring deadlines and established close requirements are consistently met.

• Reviews journal entries, account reconciliations, balance sheet activity, financial results, and supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness.

• Performs and oversees P&L and balance sheet analysis, investigates significant or unusual variances, and ensures accounting issues are appropriately resolved.

• Ensures internal controls and accounting processes are appropriately designed and consistently followed to support accurate and compliant financial reporting.

• Partners with LBS Finance leadership, Technical Accounting, operations, and other stakeholders to research and resolve complex accounting matters.

• Drives accounting process improvements and standardization, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, controls, and consistency.

• Provides leadership and accounting expertise in a shared-services environment, helping the team effectively support evolving organizational and operational needs.

• Establishes clear expectations and accountability within the team while remaining actively involved in the work necessary to meet close and reporting deadlines.

• Supports budgeting, forecasting, audit, and other financial reporting activities as needed.

• Maintains regular and reliable attendance and performs other duties as assigned.
  
   

What we’re looking for

Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance. Additional qualifications include:

• 5–7+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including significant accounting leadership experience within a healthcare environment.

• Recent experience operating at a Controller, Assistant Controller, Finance Director, Assistant CFO, or comparable healthcare finance leadership level strongly preferred.

• Demonstrated healthcare accounting experience; hospital or health system experience strongly preferred.

• Strong general ledger and month-end close expertise, including journal entry preparation and review, account reconciliations, balance sheet management, financial analysis, and internal controls.

• Demonstrated ability and willingness to operate as a working manager, remaining directly involved in accounting deliverables while also leading and developing a team.

• Prior experience managing, coaching, and reviewing the work of accounting professionals.

• Experience working within a shared services or centralized finance environment preferred.

• Behavioral health accounting or finance experience preferred.

• Demonstrated ability to analyze complex financial activity, identify issues, and drive timely resolution.

• Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, internal controls, and accounting process governance.

• Proven ability to partner effectively with senior Finance and operational leaders in a complex organization.

• Strong leadership, communication, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• Experience with Oracle, EPM, or comparable enterprise financial systems preferred.

Salary range: $89,937-$124,563 per year.
