Ascension Global Staffing & Executive Search is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Hybrid Litigation Legal Assistant / Paralegal to join our client's team.

The ideal candidate will possess strong litigation skills, exceptional organizational abilities, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with attorneys on all aspects of litigation while providing crucial support to ensure the efficient operation of our firm.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys with all phases of litigation, including drafting legal documents, pleadings, motions, and discovery requests and responses.
- Conduct legal research and analysis to support case preparation and strategy.
- Manage and organize case files, documents, and evidence, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal requirements.
- Coordinate communication with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
- Schedule and coordinate meetings, hearings, and depositions.
- Prepare and file court documents, including electronic filings.
- Assist with trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, witness lists, and trial binders.
- Provide administrative support as needed, including managing calendars, billing, and other clerical tasks.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience working as a legal assistant or paralegal, with a focus on litigation preferred.
- Strong litigation skills, including drafting legal documents and conducting legal research.
- Proficiency in legal research tools and software, such as Westlaw or LexisNexis.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a deadline-driven environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with Florida court procedures and electronic filing systems preferred.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
