The Junior Operations Manager will support the operational backbone of global event planning, delivery, and post-event evaluation processes. They will collaborate with internal teams and vendors to ensure consistent process application, manage budgets, and assist with data-driven reporting.
About You
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Operations Manager to join our Global Experiential Marketing team. In this role, you will support the operational backbone of our event planning, delivery, and post-event evaluation processes, working closely with global stakeholders to ensure our processes are followed consistently. You will assist in maintaining and refining our operating processes as needed. Reporting to the Project Manager / Operations Manager, you will play a supporting role in ensuring our high standard of event planning and execution is maintained on a global scale.
This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple administrative and operational tasks in a fast-paced environment. Experience in marketing or event management is advantageous, but not required. Familiarity with project management tools like the Atlassian suite (specifically Jira) and forecasting software such as Anaplan is a plus, and a willingness to learn these tools quickly is required.
As part of the role you will be collaborating with internal teams on event marketing and operational activities. Excellent communication skills and understanding of the English language is required.
This is an office based position in our Berlin office; depending on the location of the right candidate, remote working in the UK or CEST timezone would be considered. As this is a global role some out of hours working will be required. This role would rarely require any travel.
The ideal candidate will have an interest in working in the Games, Tech or Software industry and be eager to build a career in operations and event delivery support.
Please note this is not an events manager role and no event management or event planning is required.

\n- Operations Support: Help ensure our planning and logistics processes for global events are being followed by the teams executing them, flagging issues to the Project Manager / Operations Manager as they arise.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Support internal teams (creative, production, marketing) and external vendors to help ensure event project elements are aligned and processes are being followed.
- Budgeting & Expense Tracking: Assist in administering the global event budget, tracking expenses, and supporting cashflow updates. Help ensure event budgets stay up to date and support event managers with budget and finance processes. Support procurement and accounts payable tasks on larger events.
- Anaplan Support: Assist in the completion of event scoring (post-event analysis) in Anaplan alongside the Project Manager / Operations Manager and other event stakeholders.
- Quality Control: Support consistent application of our processes across global stakeholders.
- Multitasking: Help manage multiple events simultaneously, maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
- Feedback & Competitive Analysis: Assist event managers in preparing feedback forms and competitive analysis reports, and support analysis of results and report preparation.
- Post-Event Support: Assist event managers in post-event debriefs, capturing notes, insights, and lessons learned. Help prepare data-driven reports for internal stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Operations, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 1-2 years of experience in an operations, administrative, or coordination role.
- Exposure to global or large-scale event operations is an advantage.
- Software Proficiency: Familiarity with Atlassian tools (Jira) and/or Anaplan or other forecasting software is beneficial. Google suite and standard Microsoft Office software is essential.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong administration skills and ability to update documents on a regular basis
- Developing skills in budgeting and expense tracking
- Ability to manage several administrative tasks and effectively prioritize workload
- Understands the need for timely information, able to meet deadlines and manage own workload
- Strong work ethic and attention to quality and detail is essential
- Ability to help solve problems and support decision-making processes
- Willingness to learn and use tools such as Jira and Anaplan
- Ability to confidently communicate with vendors and internal teams
- Interest in the events/marketing field is beneficial
- Comfortable working with global teams in a culturally diverse company
