Integrated Business Planning Manager

Kraken Robotics is currently recruiting for an Integrated Business Planning Manager to join our Canada, UK, or Denmark office with the option of working remoting from these locations.

The Integrated Business Planning Manager is responsible for the development, implementation, and ongoing management of the organization's Integrated Business Planning capability across a complex multinational matrix environment.

The role is accountable for establishing a robust planning framework that aligns strategic priorities, operational demand, resource capacity, and execution plans across functions, regions, and business units. Acting as the process owner for the operational planning elements of IBP, the role ensures a single, integrated view of business demand, resource requirements, organizational capacity, and delivery commitments.

Working in close partnership with the Vice President FP&A and Finance team, the IBP Manager ensures that operational plans are translated into integrated financial plans, enabling informed decision-making, proactive risk management, and achievement of business objectives.

The role serves as the focal point for driving planning discipline, organizational alignment, scenario modelling, and data-driven decision making across the enterprise.

ROLES AND RESPONSBILITIES

Integrated Business Planning Ownership

• Design, implement, and continuously improve the organization's Integrated Business Planning framework.
• Establish and maintain a common planning methodology, planning calendar, governance structure, and operating model.
• Ensure alignment between strategic objectives, operational plans, resource requirements, and financial outcomes.
• Drive consistent planning practices across all regions, functions, and business units.
• Act as the custodian of the IBP process, ensuring adherence and continuous maturity development.

Resource & Capacity Planning

• Working alongside our People & Culture and business management teams:
• • Lead the development and management of enterprise-wide resource and capacity planning processes.
  • Create a consolidated view of organisational capacity, utilisation, capability requirements, and future demand.
  • Identify capacity constraints, capability gaps, and resource risks affecting business performance.
  • Facilitate proactive decisions regarding hiring, deployment, outsourcing, investment, and prioritisation.
  • Work with functional leaders to balance demand against available capacity and strategic priorities.
  • Develop rolling capacity forecasts and resource plans to support short, medium, and long-term business objectives.

Demand Planning & Portfolio Alignment

• Consolidate demand signals from business units, customers, functions, and strategic initiatives.
• Ensure demand forecasts are evaluated against available capacity and operational constraints.
• Support prioritization decisions through scenario planning and trade-off analysis.
• Create visibility of demand pipelines and future workload requirements.
• Facilitate alignment between growth ambitions, transformation initiatives, and delivery capability.

Financial Integration

• Partner closely with the Vice President FP&A to translate operational plans into integrated financial plans and forecasts.
• Ensure resource plans, demand forecasts, and capacity assumptions are reflected accurately within budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Provide operational assumptions and planning intelligence to support financial modelling.
• Support the development of integrated forecasts, annual operating plans, and strategic planning cycles.
• Ensure consistency between operational planning outputs and financial commitments.

Scenario Planning & Decision Support

• Develop planning models and analytical tools to evaluate alternative business scenarios.
• Support executive decision-making through capacity assessments, investment evaluations, and resource optimization analysis.
• Quantify operational risks, opportunities, and potential impacts to strategic objectives.
• Facilitate scenario planning exercises with senior leadership teams.

Continuous Improvement

• Identify opportunities to improve planning processes, tools, analytics, and governance.
• Promote best practice planning methodologies and organizational planning maturity.
• Drive adoption of integrated planning technologies and data-driven capabilities.
• Champion a culture of proactive planning and enterprise-wide decision making.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Significant experience in Integrated Business Planning, Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), workforce planning, business planning, or operational planning.
• Demonstrated experience developing and implementing planning frameworks within a multinational organization.
• Strong understanding of resource planning, capacity management, demand forecasting, and operational performance management.
• Experience working in highly matrixed environments with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
• Proven ability to align operational plans with financial planning processes.
• Strong analytical and modelling capabilities.
• Experience facilitating senior-level planning and governance forums.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills.
• Strong commercial awareness and business acumen.

PREFERRED SKILLS

• Experience within technology, manufacturing, engineering, or other complex global operating environments.
• Knowledge of enterprise planning platforms and technologies.
• Experience with scenario modelling and predictive analytics tools.
• Project Management, Lean, Six Sigma, APICS, IBF, or equivalent professional qualifications.
• Experience in organizational transformation and change management.
