RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Regional Director and Major Gift Officer, you will play a pivotal role in nurturing relationships, developing new giving partnerships, and securing major gifts to support our mission. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Spiritual Care and Connection: Demonstrate a strong commitment to serving our Giving Partners through dedicated prayer for them and their families, as well as active engagement in daily staff prayer calls.
  • Portfolio Management: Manage a defined caseload of approximately 100–150 qualified major Giving Partners, generally with an established annual giving threshold of $10,000 or more.
  • Donor Cultivation and Stewardship: Develop and execute individualized cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship plans tailored to Giving Partners’ interests, passions, and opportunities that align with the ministry’s vision. Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships grounded in trust and appreciation.
  • Major Gift Acquisition: Establish and pursue annual fundraising and major gift acquisition goals by identifying, cultivating, and soliciting major gifts to advance ExploreGod’s initiatives.
  • Pipeline Development: Identify, develop, and qualify new major gift prospects through targeted community networking, relationship building, and engagement with high-net-worth individuals, business leaders, and community networkers.
  • Vision Communication: Effectively communicate ExploreGod’s mission, vision, and ministry opportunities to inspire and motivate current and prospective Giving Partners to support the ministry.
  • Accountability and Salesforce Management: Track and report on donor retention, portfolio growth, meaningful donor interactions, fundraising progress, and other key performance indicators. Maintain accurate and timely Salesforce records of donor activity, cultivation plans, solicitations, next steps, and revenue forecasts, independently managing the administrative work required to support effective portfolio management.

EXPERTISE

  • Fundraising Territory: Contribute to the team's success in securing donations and investments for the ministry by managing a designated geographic territory.
  • Planned Giving Awareness: Maintain familiarity with planned giving tools and strategies to support long-term ministry sustainability.
  • New Audience Engagement: Assist in identifying and engaging with new target audiences.

  • Networking Enthusiasm: Demonstrate a personal passion for networking and relationship building.
  • Resource Management Forecasting: Contribute to accurate revenue forecasting and effective resource allocation through thoughtful planning and timely documentation.

KEY COMPETENCIES

  • Team Player: Be a supportive and collaborative member of the Development Team.
  • Communication Proficiency: Exhibit strong oral and written communication skills.
