Implementation Consultant

The Position:

The Implementation Consultant, part of the GovPilot Professional Services team, is responsible for leading end-to-end deployments of our SaaS applications across all areas of municipal government. Guiding customers through configuration, setup, data migration, and training to ensure successful adoption. Acting as both a project lead and product expert, you’ll collaborate closely with clients to understand their business requirements and translate them into effective, scalable system solutions.

You will play a key role in ensuring each customer realizes measurable value from our platform while providing a seamless, high-quality onboarding experience. The Implementation Consultant acts as a strategic advisor, helping clients re-engineer their business processes to maximize the value of the GovPilot platform. You will tackle our most technically challenging or politically sensitive implementations

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead technically complex or sensitive implementations, often spanning multiple departments within a single municipality
• Act as a strategic advisor, helping clients re-engineer business processes to maximize the value of the platform
• Architect custom system solutions for unique client requirements that go beyond standard platform configurations
• Consult with clients on data strategy, advising on data cleansing and restructuring to ensure long-term platform health
• Oversee QA standards for data imports and system integrations on assigned implementations, delegating execution to L2/L2.5 Analysts while maintaining accountability for data integrity prior to go-live
• Design and lead executive and department-head-level training sessions focused on change management and platform adoption strategy
• Monitor project health across a portfolio of complex implementations, proactively managing scope, risks, and dependencies with minimal oversight
• Own the post-launch transition process in partnership with Customer Success, ensuring clients are positioned for long-term platform health and high adoption before handoff
• Partner with Sales during the pre-sales process to assess implementation feasibility, contribute to scoping conversations, and support RFP responses for prospective clients
• Partner with Product and Engineering to provide formal feedback on feature gaps discovered during complex deployments
• Drive the creation of industry-specific best practice playbooks for the Professional Services department
• Proactively identify and lead process improvement initiatives that elevate delivery standards and scalability across the Professional Services department

Required & Preferred Qualifications:

• 6+ years of SaaS Implementation or Professional Services experience required
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
• Strong understanding of SaaS platforms, cloud environments, and data management principles required
• Experience analyzing complex data structures and translating client data logic into clear requirements for technical team members required
• Proficiency with tools such as Wrike, HubSpot, Salesforce, Jira, or other implementation-related platforms required
• Proven ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder client relationships with professionalism, navigating competing priorities and organizational politics effectively required
• Proven ability to re-engineer client business processes and architect system solutions that go beyond standard platform configurations required
• Demonstrated experience leading organizational change management initiatives within client engagements, driving adoption across multi-stakeholder environments required
• Ability to independently navigate technically complex or politically sensitive client situations, escalating to senior leadership only when necessary required
• Experience partnering with Product or Engineering teams to communicate client-side feature gaps and influence roadmap decisions required
• Ability to translate technical concepts into clear business explanations required
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills required
• Excellent organizational, time-management, and prioritization skills required
• Ability to learn new technologies and concepts quickly required
• Demonstrated track record of delivering implementations on time with strong Post Deployment Survey scores and measurable user adoption outcomes required
• PMP or CSM certification preferred
