The Global Marketing Leader will define and execute the downstream marketing strategy for the contrast media portfolio to drive profitable growth and market leadership. This role involves leading global product launches, managing brand defense, and transitioning the business to a digital-first, omni-channel operating model.

Job Description Summary

Sustain and extend GE HealthCare's global leadership in contrast media, and build the marketing engine that carries the business into its next generation of products. The Global Marketing Leader, Contrast Media is the global owner of downstream marketing for the largest portfolio in Pharmaceutical Diagnostics segment, accountable for the global strategy creating the standards, capabilities and operating rhythm that enable regions to execute with speed, consistency and local relevance.

The Contrast Media business operates in a dynamic and growing market, creating significant opportunities to expand customer adoption, strengthen market position and drive profitable growth. The Downstream Marketing function plays a critical role in shaping portfolio strategy, optimising product value, supporting pricing excellence and ensuring market readiness for future launches. As the business balances growth opportunities with supply considerations, this role is responsible for driving customer-centric marketing strategies, prioritizing market investments and enabling successful execution across a diverse global footprint to maximize long-term revenue, profitability and market impact.

This role coordinates a global team spanning product marketing, market research and insights, regional field marketing, marketing enablement, digital and martech. Success requires strong global-to-region partnership, clear decision rights and the ability to turn strategy into repeatable playbooks that regions activate.

Job Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Global Strategy, Portfolio and Insight

·   Own the global downstream marketing strategy for contrast media across all geographies, translating segment objectives into an integrated brand and demand generation.

·   Lead the marketing components of Worldwide Product Planning (WWPP) and Long Term Strategy (LTS) for Contrast Media, directing global market research and competitive intelligence and consolidating it with the voice of region and of the customer.

·   Own global brand positioning, segmentation, targeting and messaging architecture; approve regional adaptations and enforce consistency of claims and identity worldwide.

·   Provide key inputs into Strategy Reviews and resource planning — market sizing, forecasting, share models and investment requirements — and allocate global downstream budget across brands, regions and channels.

Mature Brand Defense and Lifecycle Management

·   Own the global defense strategy for a portfolio facing generic and low-cost competition: value articulation, share retention, volume growth and disciplined price and tender positioning in partnership with market access and pricing.

·   Build the evidence-to-message chain that sustains premium preference — patient safety, dose and workflow efficiency, supply reliability, sustainability and total cost of care — working with medical affairs and health economics.

·   Lead lifecycle management: indication and presentation expansion, packaging and delivery-system innovation, injector and digital ecosystem tie-ins, and portfolio rationalization (LEAN) where SKUs no longer earn their place.

New Product Launch Readiness and Market Preparation

·   Own global downstream launch readiness for the new contrast agents entering the portfolio, from pre-launch market shaping through launch execution and the first years on market.

·   Partner with global upstream marketing to build and run the market preparation agenda ahead of approval: disease- and pathway-level education, unmet-need framing, referral and protocol mapping, KOL and advocacy engagement with medical affairs and professional societies, and payer and reimbursement pathway development with market access.

·   Equip commercial teams with the knowledge, materials and tools required at launch, and build a repeatable launch capability that outlasts this launch.

Digital, Data and Standardization

·   Continue the shift of the business from a field-led model to a digital-first, omni-channel model — owning channel strategy and the customer journey across web, search, email, social, virtual, congress and field-enabled digital.

·   Own the martech platform strategy and tool management for Contrast Media: CRM and marketing automation integration, content management, digital asset management, personalization and the global product web presence.

·   Replace duplicated global and regional activity with one standardized system: global campaigns delivered as campaign-in-a-box, modular claim-approved content libraries, common templates, common naming and taxonomy, and a defined “adapt, don't rebuild” operating rule for regions.

·   Establish the measurement system — a defined global KPI set, campaign and channel attribution, ROMI/ROI on marketing spend, and dashboards that leadership and regions use to make decisions.

·   Deploy AI and automation across content development, promotional review acceleration, localization and translation, segmentation, next-best-action for field teams and insight synthesis; set the standards and guardrails for responsible use.

Organization, Cross-Functional Leadership and Compliance

·   Set performance goals, coach direct reports, build succession and drive a capability-building agenda that upgrades digital, analytical and launch skills across global and regional marketing.

·   Partner with sales leadership, commercial excellence, training and commercial operations to ensure aligned go-to-market execution, omni-channel activation and performance tracking, with field feedback loops that inform campaign and asset development.

·   Partner with medical affairs, regulatory, legal, compliance, market access and supply chain to align scientific, policy, payer and availability strategy across the lifecycle.

·   Ensure all marketing activity complies with applicable pharmaceutical regulation, industry codes and GE HealthCare policy in every market of operation, and provide organizational leadership for an effective and fast Advertising and Promotional Review system across regulatory, medical, legal and compliance.

·   Lead change: bring an organization built for a mature, regionally run portfolio through to a standardized, digital, launch-ready model, and take the organization with you.

KEY CAPABILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS

·   Significant experience in product marketing, inclusive of extensive experience in full marketing mix of activities working with sales teams and supporting commercial teams with programs to drive awareness and sales.

·   Demonstrated digital and martech leadership: has personally driven a shift from analog to omni-channel, with measurable results, not just sponsorship of one.

·   Standardization and operating-model design — able to take duplicated regional activity and land a single global playbook that regions actually adopt.

·   Launch experience across multiple categories and large markets, including pre-launch market shaping and launch governance.

·   Advanced analytical, forecasting and financial acumen, with genuine command of marketing measurement (ROMI/ROI) and the ability to lead teams who model it.

·   Strong influencing and executive communication across business functions and geographies — able to distil complex strategy into clear portfolio plans, deliver difficult messages, defend decisions and make judgment calls.

·   Change management and team scaling; ability to motivate diverse, cross-functional, multi-cultural teams.

·   Healthcare product and industry acumen, preferably in diagnostic imaging, contrast media or pharmaceutical imaging agents.

·   Demonstrates the GE HealthCare Cultural Operating Principles: serve our people, patients and customers; lead with a lean mindset; empower entrepreneurial spirit; deliver the future of healthcare; win together and have fun.
