Position Overview

This role is focused on Amazon Worldwide Operations, including fulfillment centers, material handling systems (MHS), warehouse automation, intralogistics, logistics engineering, and supply chain operations. The successful candidate will drive growth of Siemens Digital Industries automation, software, and digitalization solutions across Amazon's global operations organization while coordinating strategic initiatives with stakeholders worldwide. This position carries global responsibility and requires the ability to develop executive relationships, influence technology strategies, and coordinate opportunities across Amazon's worldwide operations ecosystem.

Global Account Manager (Amazon)

This position will be remote in the US with a preference in metro Seattle area.

Role Description

You’ll make an impact by:

  • Delivering Integrated Siemens Solutions: Leverage the full breadth of the Siemens Digital Industries portfolio, including DI and SI resources, to architect and deliver innovative, impactful solutions. This involves driving specification influence, seamlessly coordinating across Siemens' diverse internal teams (e.g., Vertical Sales, SW Sales, Digital Sales, OEM Sales, Engineering), and actively managing relationships with strategic partners and integrators to ensure successful project execution and amplified market reach.
  • Delivering Measurable Customer Value & Sustainable Growth: Drive rigorous opportunity management and accurate forecasting, fueled by proactive demand generation and in-depth account research. Ensure every solution not only addresses customer challenges but also delivers quantifiable financial outcomes directly impacting their key performance indicators, thereby fostering robust, sustainable growth for both Siemens and our clients within their respective markets.
  • Shaping Market Presence & Strategic Insight: Establish Siemens as a recognized thought leader in the intralogistics sector. Actively engage with industry associations, conduct thorough market research to identify new opportunities, and provide critical feedback to inform our product and strategic direction.Driving Strategic Growth & Executive Engagement: Achieve significant sales growth and exceed revenue targets by developing and executing comprehensive strategic account plans focused on Amazon Worldwide Operations. Cultivate executive-level relationships across fulfillment, logistics, warehouse automation, and operations engineering organizations while influencing strategic technology direction and driving impactful business outcomes

You will win us over by having the following qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of progressive experience in business development or strategic account management, with a proven track record of exceeding sales targets in complex solution environments.
  • 8+ years Industrial Acumen and strong understanding of the intralogistics industry with a focus on retail/distribution including market dynamics, key players, and business drivers.
  • 8+ years Channel Navigation: Proven success navigating diverse sales channels, including direct sales, distributors, and system integrators.
  • Executive Presence: Demonstrated ability to engage senior leadership, build trusted advisor relationships, and influence strategic business and technology decisions within large enterprise organizations.
  • Mindset & Logistics: Entrepreneurial mindset, high sense of urgency, and willingness to travel up to 50%. 
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring employer sponsored work authorization now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant Academic Foundation: Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Engineering, Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related technical field, providing a strong analytical and problem-solving foundation.
  • Digital Transformation Expertise: Deep understanding of Discrete and Process Automation or Digital Transformation solutions, and their application within logistics processes.
  • Siemens Portfolio Knowledge: Fundamental understanding of the Siemens Digital Industries product, solutions, and service portfolio.
  • Complex Opportunity Strategy: Proven ability to develop and execute sophisticated opportunity pursuit strategies across complex ecosystems (e.g., end-users, engineering firms, system integrators)
  • Industry Expertise: Experience working with material handling systems, warehouse automation, fulfillment operations, intralogistics, logistics technology providers, OEMs, system integrators, or large end-user logistics organizations. Global Account Experience: Experience leading global accounts across multiple regions and coordinating cross-functional teams within complex enterprise environments.

The pay range for this position is $102,459.00 - $175,644.00 annually with a target incentive of 42% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
