Europe’s energy markets have never been more complex and dynamic. Decarbonisation, geopolitics and rapid digitalisation are changing how energy companies make decisions. Every day, traders, analysts, utilities, producers and industrial energy users rely on our trusted market intelligence. To support this growing demand across Europe, Montel is expanding its commercial team.
We are hiring seven Account Executives to build local markets, win new business and help energy professionals make better decisions in an increasingly complex industry. We are at the heart of the green energy transition: will you join us?
For more than 35 years, Montel has been one of Europe’s leading energy intelligence partners. Its independent journalism, real-time market data, analytics and expert insight help customers understand markets, manage risk and act with confidence. Thousands of energy professionals across Europe rely on Montel’s products and expertise every day.
The business already has strong customer relationships and deep industry credibility. With ambitious growth plans for the coming years, Montel is now investing in dedicated commercial ownership across six key European markets.
This is an exceptional opportunity: the backing and reputation of an established European business, combined with the freedom to shape how your market grows.
Every territory is different. Some roles are founding positions, with the chance to establish Montel’s commercial presence in an emerging market. Others give you an existing customer base and a clear opportunities to grow new and existing accounts.
Across all seven roles, the mission is the same: understand your market, build trusted relationships and turn commercial potential into sustainable revenue.
Develop and execute a commercial plan for your territory.
Create pipeline through targeted outbound activity while converting relevant inbound demand.
Lead discovery conversations with analytical and technically informed buyers.
Position Montel’s value, deliver credible product demonstrations and manage negotiations.
Run the full sales cycle from first conversation to close and customer handover.
Keep a clear view of pipeline, activity and forecasts through disciplined CRM use.
Represent Montel at customer meetings, conferences and energy-industry events.
Energy markets are volatile, interconnected and changing quickly. Montel brings together the news, market data, analytics and risk tools customers need to understand what is happening today and prepare for what comes next. You’ll work with traders, analysts, utilities, producers, portfolio managers and other senior energy professionals. These are informed buyers who expect relevant questions, commercial insight and a consultative approach.
You’ll be representing more than a market-leading product portfolio. You’ll be part of a company with a growing voice in Europe’s energy sector – combining trusted journalism, market analysis, podcasts, reports and expert insight that are shaping industry conversations. Working alongside journalists, analysts and market experts, you’ll sell solutions backed by genuine expertise, credibility and trusted relationships – not just marketing claims.
Previous experience in energy or commodities can be valuable, but it isn’t essential. What matters most is your ability to learn a complex market, understand how customers make decisions and translate sophisticated solutions into meaningful commercial value.
These roles suit commercially ambitious people who combine drive with structure. You enjoy creating opportunities, but you also invest time in understanding your customers, building credibility and becoming a trusted adviser.
If you’re excited by complex markets, enjoy learning from your customers and want genuine ownership of a territory, you’ll be at home at Montel.
– Around three to seven years of relevant B2B sales experience.
– Experience owning a full sales cycle, ideally in SaaS, data, analytics or another complex solution.
– Evidence that you can build pipeline rather than rely entirely on inbound demand.
– Strong discovery, value articulation, objection handling, negotiation and closing skills.
– Curiosity, resilience and the ability to work with autonomy.
– Good CRM and forecasting discipline.
– Fluent English and the relevant language skills for your market.
– A willingness to meet customers and represent Montel at industry events.
Montel’s culture is built around transparency, trust and strong relationships. Teams work across countries, but collaboration stays personal. People are given autonomy, supported as they develop and encouraged to share what they are seeing in their market.
Depending on the role, you may work remotely, in a hybrid setup or close to a local office. Regular customer visits, industry events and time with colleagues will keep you connected to both your territory and the wider European business.
Montel has partnered with Nobel Recruitment to manage this European hiring programme. Nobel’s specialist recruiters will help you understand the opportunity, prepare for each stage and stay informed throughout the process. The aim is straightforward: a well-organised process that gives both you and Montel enough insight to make the right decision.
Europe’s energy transition is reshaping one of the world’s most important industries. If you want genuine ownership of a territory, an market-leading product portfolio and the opportunity to help customers navigate one of the fastest-changing markets in the world, we’d love to hear from you.

Own an entire country from day one and turn Poland's fast-moving energy transition into your commercial playground.
Your strategic impact
As the first dedicated sales hire for Poland, you take the reins of one of the most strategic growth markets within a PE-backed energy market intelligence scale-up that is growing fast. Poland already represents close to half of the wider Central & Eastern European region's customers and revenue, and the market is opening rapidly as coal generation gives way to renewables, battery storage and deeper integration with European power markets. Your role blends new-logo hunting, inbound conversion and expansion of a substantial existing account base, giving you full ownership of pipeline, relationships and growth in your territory.
The team you'll join
You report directly to the Head of CEE Sales, an expert in the field who built his career on the trading side before moving into SaaS, and you become the founding salesperson for the Polish market. Today the team is lean, so you carry genuine influence over how the region is built. The culture is Scandinavian at its core: flat, trust-based and built on autonomy rather than hierarchy or micromanagement.
What success looks like
In your first months, expect to absorb the product portfolio, learn the Polish energy landscape and take ownership of existing accounts while building fresh pipeline. There is no individual quota for 2026, so early success is measured by pipeline quality, customer relationships and contribution to regional targets. By 2027, the goal is to carry an annual target of roughly €300k-400k ARR through a healthy mix of new business, renewals and cross-sell across a portfolio of news, analytics and forecasting products.
How you'll develop
Onboarding includes dedicated time in Budapest alongside your manager to accelerate learning and build a strong working bond during your first months. Expect hands-on mentorship from a leader with deep energy market expertise, exposure to a broad multi-product portfolio, and the room to grow as the CEE region expands around you.
What you bring
This role suits someone who can move at full speed early, either through energy-sector knowledge or through sharp SaaS selling paired with the appetite to master a technical product.
3-7 years of full-cycle commercial or sales experience
Fluent Polish and professional English
Either energy-industry experience or strong SaaS sales with the ability to learn complex, technical products quickly
Comfort selling considered, multi-stakeholder deals rather than one-month transactions
Confidence running outbound prospecting alongside inbound and account management
Existing relationships within the Polish energy market are a strong advantage
A structured, ownership-driven mindset suited to a fast-changing, scaling environment
What's on offer
A strong base salary (depending on experience)
Commission on top
Remote working from Poland with flexibility on location
In-person onboarding in Budapest during your first months
Regular travel across Poland for customer meetings, conferences and events
Additional benefits
