Position Summary: The Finance/Schedule Analyst is responsible for the assessment, monitoring and maintenance of various General Ledger Accounts for AutoNation entities. Who would I interact with? Interacts with internal customers and external lenders and vendors at various levels, Schedule, CFS Registration and Cancellation teams, supervisor and management.

What are the day-to-day responsibilities?
• Support AutoNation entities through the assessment, review and maintenance of internal general ledger accounting schedules
• Prepare adjusting journal entries
• Research and correct account discrepancies
• Research accounting issues for compliance and AutoNation standard accounting practices
• Identify, analyze and report to department manager or supervisor trends, consistency and/or posting issues/concerns
• Responsible for ensuring the validity of all entries on general ledger accounts
• Move Problem items into the appropriate Store or SSC Problem queue for resolution
• Enter schedule research notes for month end reporting
• Produce high quality and quantity of work while under deadline pressure
• Meet or exceed service level agreements
• Back up and assist other team members as needed
• Perform any other outside projects and/or tasks as needed


What are the requirements for this job?
• Effective analytical, problem-solving, organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet commitments and deadlines
• Understand accounting principles and logic
• Proficient MS Excel experience
• Experience handling high volume of paperwork in multiple computer database systems
• Excellent follow-up and prioritization abilities
• Communicate effectively with customer base
• Automotive Accounting experience preferred, but not required
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language
• Ability to work independently and as a team member in a deadline driven environment
• Ability to handle and deal with sensitive and confidential information, in a tactful and discreet manner
• Flexible work schedule to accommodate month end deadlines
