We are currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Loan Processor to support our dynamic lending team. The ideal candidate has experience working for a builder-focused lender, demonstrates an outstanding attitude, is adept at transitioning between tasks with ease, and has a proven track record of providing excellent customer service to the clients and referral partners in their pipeline. Responsibilities: • Carry a pipeline of 25-45 loans. • Review new files within 24-48 hours. • Review 1003s for accuracy. Obtain and prepare loan documents, credit documents, and appraisals. Verify records and documents for accuracy and completeness. Maintain and update records; request routinely updated documentation at the appropriate intervals based on loan closing date. • Coordinate closing date, closing location, and funding between the Loan Originator, referral partner, title company, and applicable internal partners. • Provide weekly verbal and written updates to all clients and referral partners in your pipeline. • Comply with company policies and secondary market requirements pertaining to credit/security standards and regulatory requirements for conventional, government, and self-employed loans. • Demonstrate and maintain advanced knowledge of complex mortgage loan processing and the associated documentation/underwriting guidelines. Stay abreast of applicable changes in local, state, and federal policies, standards, and regulations. • Adhere to internal and external SLAs to ensure compliance with company and referral partner standards. • Act as a filter between sales and underwriting to protect the integrity of the loan. • Identify and resolve problems in a timely, objective, and confidential manner. • Act as trouble-shooter for problem loans, interacting between internal and external partners. Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: • High school diploma or GED. • A designated work-from-home space free from interruption. • 1+ years of experience working in a processing role in a remote setting. • 3+ years of experience in a processing role. • Intermediate proficiency with Encompass. • Intermediate proficiency with Automated Underwriting System (AUS). • Intermediate proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite. Preferred Qualifications: • Associate's or Bachelor's degree. • Must work a schedule of 8 am-5 pm MST, M-F. • 2+ years of experience working in a processing role in a remote setting. • 5+ years of experience in a processing role. • Experience working for a lending team that services newly built communities. • Advanced proficiency with Encompass. • Advanced proficiency with Automated Underwriting System (AUS). • Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Simple Nexus. • Advanced proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite. • Expert knowledge of federal regulations and agency guidelines for loan types: FHA, VA, USDA, Conventional, and Jumbo. • Excellent interdepartmental communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills. • Customer-service-focused, with strong analytical, time management, and prioritization skills. Compensation: $65,000 - $80,000 yearly + per file bonus
