Job Description

Job Description

We are looking for an attorney to join our team to assist low-income Floridians with family law issues, including custody, enforcement, modification, writs, adoptions, divorce, and other areas. Become part of a team of staff attorneys.

We help self-represented litigators with family law situations. The staff attorney has phone consultations with clients. During the consultation, the staff attorney helps to strategize the client's case and recommend any necessary documents. The attorney does not become the client's attorney of record as the client remains self-represented (pro-se). This job lets you focus on consultation and legal strategy for the case. This service allows people who would otherwise have to resolve their family law situation without any legal assistance to have the advice and guidance of an attorney.

This remote position has hours from Monday to Friday and a work schedule of 40 to 45 hours per week. No traveling to court hearings is required, and there are no weekends. There is also no drafting of legal documents. This job lets you focus on consultation and case strategy.

The organization pays state bar and local bar dues and CLEs.

Qualifications:
Licensed by and in good standing with the State Bar of Florida.
Knowledge of family law

Preferred:
Bilingual English and Spanish
