There is no "grunt work" here. What we do provides real value and solutions to our clients. Responsibilities: In this position, you will report directly to the firm's principal attorney. You will be expected to do what is necessary to assist in obtaining clients and serve them in accordance with the firm values, including: • Document review and drafting - draft a range of transactional documents including purchase agreements, closing documents, operating agreements • Consult and document - conduct initial consultations and/or assessments with prospective clients and prepare documentation on those meetings • Client matter management and tracking • Participate in efforts to expand the firm's footprint offline and online • Assistance in improving and documenting firm processes, procedures and systems Qualifications: • Effective communication skills and problem-solving skills are necessary to work with all levels of staff and clients • Successful completion of the bar exam • Ability to work with senior attorneys to best serve client needs and grow our client base • Has a Juris Doctor (J.D. degree) from an accredited law school • Active member of the American Bar Association (ABA) To be a great fit for this position and for the firm, the following is important: • Practice Area Familiarity - you must have experience in handling transactions (e.g., forming companies, handling business and property sales and purchase, drafting a range of different transactional • Skills - Lawyering. Be a great transactional attorney able to navigate various transactions and business matters from the initial client contact to the resolution(s) of their concerns or issues. This includes conducting potential client consultations, outlining service strategies, researching issues, drafting appropriate documents, reviewing documents, conducting (virtual) closings and effectively utilizing support staff and technology tools. Overall, you need to be good at identifying concerns and problems and working with clients to design effective and practical solutions. • Skills - Communication. Communicate superbly verbally and in writing, demonstrating attention to detail. • Skills - People. Know how to guide, inspire and support a range of potential and current clients, encouraging them, while also managing expectations. Understand and implement the nuances in building and supporting a great client relationship. Communicate effectively, constructively, and respectfully with other attorney colleagues and firm staff. • Mindset - Exhibit a "can-do" attitude toward getting work done and securing more clients for the firm. • Integrity - Be honest. Do what you say you will do, when you say you will do it. In the exceptional instances in which you are unable to deliver as promised, you proactively acknowledge, inform and communicate with the aim of remedying the issue and allaying concerns. • Smart Working - Prioritize well and work efficiently. Be creative in finding practical solutions for clients while maintaining your own well-being and supporting that of others in the organization. • Work Location - This is primarily a remote position. You will need to be able to effectively and efficiently execute your work from a home or other remote office location, though you may work from the firm's location if you desire. You may also be required to attend (at the firm's expense) a quarterly firm meeting at a location designated by the principal attorney. • Responsiveness - Be responsive (i.e., return calls and respond to emails and calls - or delegate to an appropriate staff member - within 24 business hours and provide updates to clients with on-going matters). Compensation: $50,000 - $100,000
