District Sales Representative

Full-Time Exempt Remote/Field-Based-in Indiana and Michigan Up to 50% Travel

We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused District Sales Representative to drive sales growth and strengthen customer relationships within an assigned territory. In this role, you will represent Multiquip’s extensive Construction Equipment product line while delivering a comprehensive sales approach that includes equipment sales, aftermarket support, service solutions, and long-term customer partnership.

What You'll Do

Sales & Territory Development

  • Develop and execute territory sales strategies focused on Multiquip's holistic sales model, including:
    • Equipment sales
    • Parts and maintenance kit sales
    • Service Plus offerings
    • Ongoing customer support and service
  • Meet or exceed revenue and growth objectives within an assigned territory.
  • Identify new business opportunities through market analysis, customer engagement, and industry research.
  • Analyze market trends, competitive activity, customer preferences, and construction projects to uncover growth opportunities.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers regarding all sales-related activities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to drive long-term loyalty and growth.
  • Partner with key accounts to increase market share and strengthen Multiquip's presence within the territory.
  • Provide ongoing support, training, and product education to customers to maximize sales success and end-user satisfaction.

Product Expertise

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of Multiquip's construction equipment portfolio, including:
    • Concrete and mortar mixers
    • Power trowels
    • Screeds
    • Concrete vibrators
    • Soil and asphalt compaction equipment
    • Pumps
    • Water trailers
    • Generators
    • Light towers
    • Welders
    • Other construction equipment solutions
  • Recommend product configurations and accessories that provide maximum value to customers.

Collaboration & Marketing Support

  • Collaborate with Regional Sales Management and Marketing to develop territory-specific promotional campaigns.
  • Participate in trade shows and industry events, including booth setup and teardown as needed.
  • Assist with delivery coordination and field stock distribution when necessary.

CRM & Sales Administration

  • Maintain detailed customer records, activities, meetings, and sales opportunities within HubSpot CRM.
  • Utilize CRM quoting tools to manage:
    • Quotes and pricing
    • Opportunity stages
    • Credit terms
    • Sales pipeline activity
  • Work closely with Inside Sales to convert quotes into completed sales orders.
  • Provide proactive communication regarding equipment production schedules and delivery timelines.

What You Bring

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent industry experience.
  • 2-3 years of successful B2B sales experience.
  • Experience in equipment, construction, industrial, manufacturing, or related industries preferred.

Skills & Abilities

  • Strong customer relationship-building and consultative selling skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance manuals, and technical documents.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while managing a territory.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

Computer Skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience utilizing CRM software; HubSpot experience preferred.
  • Comfortable using technology for reporting, forecasting, communication, and data analysis.

Travel Requirements

  • Up to 50% travel throughout the assigned territory.

  • Must be able to work around moderate to loud noise levels commonly found in construction and industrial settings.

  • $100,000.00 base plus bonus
