Position Purpose:
This remote position reporting to the Associate Provost for Institutional Research, the Director of Mental Health Evaluation and Assessment serves as a subject matter expert on data collection, analysis, reporting, and research for Dartmouth's Commitment to Care strategic plan for student mental health and wellbeing.

This position is responsible for developing and implementing a multi-year strategic plan evaluation approach pertinent to student mental health and wellbeing in the higher education context. This position will also collaborate with diverse stakeholders to identify and develop quantitative and qualitative evaluation tools for specific pilot projects and other actions enumerated within Dartmouth's Commitment to Care strategic plan, manage data collection on defined projects, conduct data analyses (quantitative and qualitative), and compile findings for reports and research purposes.

Description:
Required Qualifications - Education and Yrs Exp: Masters or equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Qualifications - Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
  • 5 or more years of experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience) with increasing responsibilities in public health, biostatistics, epidemiology, or other related area.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to apply best practices in data privacy and security.
  • Demonstrated evaluation and/or data analysis experience addressing public health, mental health, and/or wellbeing topics.
  • Demonstrated skills and experience for working on initiatives related to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.
  • Excellent judgment with the ability to manage highly sensitive, confidential data and information.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop relationships and collaborate with key constituents. Willingness to work cross-institutionally to achieve stated goals.
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal communications skills as well as proficiency in written communication with the ability to effectively convey complex information to a wide array of audiences (e.g., data visualization).
  • Ability to manage multiple, competing priorities and meet deadlines while working in a rapidly changing complex organization.
  • Familiarity with programs such as SPSS , SAS , Stata, Excel, Qualtrics, NVivo, and/or similar software.
  • Proven ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • PhD in a relevant discipline.
  • 6+ years of experience leading evaluation and assessment projects.
  • Familiarity with SAS or other analytic tool for data acquisition, manipulation, and transformation.
  • Experience in higher education (e.g., demonstrated knowledge of data structures and systems within higher education).
  • Experience providing data analysis to inform organizational strategic planning efforts, policy development, and/or other practical applications.
  • Experience with higher education or healthcare systems research.
