Business Planning Analyst, ES

Position Overview

The Business Planning Analyst role provides critical support to Fujifilm Endoscopy’s organization by delivering actionable insights, data management, and process optimization to ensure the attainment of business objectives. This position is responsible for performance analytics, CRM management, pricing strategies, and operational efficiencies. As a key collaborator, the Business Planning Analyst partners with leadership to optimize territory management, develop sales metrics, and enhance national and regional account strategies. This position reports directly to the Director of ES Operations.

Job Description

Duties and responsibilities

• Analytics and Reporting:
  • Generate and analyze daily, weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc sales reports with key business metrics (KPIs). Utilize data from multiple data sources, including Salesforce, SAP, and EXFM, and other business systems into Excel to aggregate into reports and business insights.
  • Provide market share analytics at regional and national levels for GI, pulmonary, and surgical call points.
• Create dashboards and automated reports using tools like SAP and SFDC.
• Leverage 6-mos rolling SFDC data to work with the factory Japan on forecasting for US Market. Identify trends, analyze reports/data inclusive of BU’s Profit & Loss statement and present data-driven insights to senior leadership in a clear and compelling manner to drive strategic decision-making. Make recommendations to sales leaders to understand the drivers of their business.
• CRM and Data Management:
  • Manage CRM platforms, ensuring accurate data entry and integrity.
  • Leverage both Definitive Healthcare database as well as SAP to support analysis.
  • Train sales teams on accessing and utilizing CRM tools effectively.
  • Monitor opportunities and quote tracking and integrate with enterprise systems.
• Work with various marketing leaders to help manage the accuracy of quotable parts in the Quote tool (CPQ) connected to Salesforce.com.
• Pricing and Market Analysis:
  • Develop and maintain GPO/IDN price lists.
  • Conduct pricing analytics to support competitive positioning and profitability.
  • Collaborate with leadership to establish and implement pricing strategies.
• Sales Operations Support:
  • Assist in the development and deployment of annual sales quotas and incentive plans.
  • Support sales projects, including data mining, forecasting, and business intelligence initiatives.
  • Facilitate onboarding for new hires, providing reports and training as needed.
  • Maintain an on-line sales and marketing system and liaise with IT to resolve technical issues.
• Process Improvement:
  • Identify and design workflows to enhance operational efficiency and reduce bottlenecks.
  • Develop standard operating procedures for data outputs and analytics deliverables.
  • Identify opportunities for process and other improvements in accuracy, efficiency, automation, and doing more with less resources.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Partner with IT, Marketing, Manufacturing, Customer Service, Finance, Operations,　Service and R&D to align analytics with business goals and to streamline analytical functions and outputs.
  • Provide operational support and analysis for ad hoc meetings, including preparing presentations and reports.
  • Review and manage the demo inventory, support the demo process with equipment allocation, location and availability management, and asset tracking.
• Additional responsibilities as assigned by the management team.
• Other:
  • Comply with all applicable U.S. Food and Drug Administration (U.S. FDA) medical device regulatory requirements, applicable ISO 13485 standard requirements and all other applicable laws, regulations and standards.

Qualifications

Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalency is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, data analytics, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years in sales operations, analytics, or a similar role preferred.
• Experience in the healthcare industry highly preferred.
• Familiarity with GI/pulmonary flexible endoscopy markets, and advanced therapeutic procedures is a plus.

Skills:

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Advanced knowledge of SAP, CRM and EXFM platforms (e.g., Salesforce) and analytics tools are preferred.
• Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to interpret data and make recommendations to Senior Leadership pertaining to the data to support strategic decision-making.
• Ability to provide training to employees regarding CRM.
• Pricing analytics/pricing strategy experience.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills for presenting complex ideas.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Demonstrated process improvement capabilities.
• Demonstrated project management capabilities.
• Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
• Proficiency in statistical concepts and mathematical analysis.
