While there may not be an immediate need for a lecturer in every area, UW-Stevens Point (UWSP) accepts applications regardless, in order to create a pool for when there may be a need. Upon successful submission of your application, you will be considered for future part-time associate lecturer/lecturer/senior lecturer opportunities, and your application will be on file as a potential candidate who could possibly fill a position if or when the need arises. 

An associate lecturer/lecturer/senior lecturer is hired on a per-course basis each semester, and teaching one semester does not guarantee being assigned the following semester. The teaching hours for an associate lecturer/lecturer/senior lecturer will vary with a teaching load ranging between 1-12 credits per semester.

Compensation & Benefits:

The Associate Lecturer/Lecturer/Senior Lecturer is a part-time, salaried, exempt, academic year (9-month), instructional academic staff position.

Required Qualifications:

  • M.A. in Philosophy, Religious Studies, or related field

  • Experience teaching introductory courses typically offered as part of the general education program and relevant to a department such as Philosophy and Religious Studies

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Philosophy, Religious Studies, or related field
