Our growing law firm is looking to hire a Family Law Attorney who is fiercely passionate about representing clients facing some of the most challenging times in their lives. The Attorney will be adept at preparing necessary legal documents in connection with prenuptial agreements, initiating and finalizing divorces, alimony, child support/child custody, real estate, and more. Experience in handling legal issues such as child abuse, child custody, and domestic violence is also a must. Responsibilities :

  • Understand each client's unique needs through case analysis, strategy, and regularly communicate case updates.
  • Create legal documents such as pleadings, motions, marital settlement agreements, discovery requests, etc.
  • Provide superior legal advice, including monthly status reports and weekly case reviews.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and legal professionals within the firm.
  • Provide excellent customer service to make sure client know their case status and feel informed
  • Ensure clients are effectively represented at court hearings as needed.
  • Utilize internal systems and software to track case progress and document accurate billing.
  • Stay updated on changes in family law statutes and regulations.

Qualifications :

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of recent Family Law experience.

  • A natural sense of empathy, compassion, and patience with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

  • Proven ability to manage a high-volume caseload and prioritize tasks effectively.

  • Great negotiation and communication skills, specifically in situations when emotions and stress are high.

  • Commitment to maintaining the highest ethical standards in the practice of law.

  • Bachelor's degree with a legal background and J.D. degree.

  • Member in good standing with the American Bar Association/ABA (membership paid for by the firm).
