The Education Area Sales Manager is responsible for developing and growing KOMPAN’s business within the education sector across a defined geographical territory, working with schools, academies, nurseries, colleges, universities and other education providers.

The role is focused on building strong relationships with customers, understanding their objectives and developing playground, outdoor learning, sport and activity solutions that meet their needs, budget and desired outcomes.

Additionally, you will be responsible for:

  • Manage and develop education-sector sales opportunities across the assigned territory.

  • Attend customer meetings and site visits generated through inbound enquiries, appointments and self-generated activity.

  • Build strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders within education settings.

  • Understand customer objectives, budgets, funding, timescales and project requirements.

  • Provide consultative advice on playground, outdoor learning, sport and activity solutions.

  • Work with internal teams to develop appropriate designs, proposals and quotations.

  • Present KOMPAN solutions professionally and demonstrate their value to customers.

  • Proactively generate new opportunities within the territory through prospecting and relationship development.

  • Progress opportunities effectively from initial meeting through to order.

  • Maintain an accurate and well-managed sales pipeline within CRM.

  • Keep customer records, opportunities, activities and next steps up to date.

  • Plan customer visits efficiently to maximise productive selling time and minimise unnecessary travel.

  • Prepare quotations, designs and proposals, following up consistently to progress opportunities.

  • Negotiate commercially while protecting appropriate margin and value.

  • Maintain regular communication with customers throughout the sales process, reporting a forecast of projected orders.

  • Develop long-term relationships that generate repeat business and referrals.

This is a field‑based role where you’ll work from home, plan your own schedule, and spend most days on the road meeting customers and potential customers. You’ll have the autonomy to structure your week while being supported by a collaborative and high‑performing sales team.

You possess knowledge of the Education sector & complex sales processes.
