A rapidly growing AgTech company based in Idaho is seeking a motivated AgTech Business Development Leader to join our team. The successful candidate will build on our current success, drive sales efforts, create and reinforce strategic partnerships, win new accounts, and expand business with existing customers.

We are dedicated to making sustainable farming practices accessible and easy to implement. Our industry-first soil-to-storage solution monitors soil moisture, temperature, crop damage, location, and humidity. Our innovative plug-and-play soil sensor, developed with farmers for farmers, has rapidly expanded from one crop and one state to over 25 crops across the USA, Canada, Mexico, and South America.

Key Responsibilities
  • Relationship Management : Maintain relationships with current clients and identify potential new clients.
  • Sales Strategy : Develop and implement sales strategies to drive organic growth.
  • Networking : Recruit and maintain a strong network of farmers, agronomists, and distributors.
  • Customer Onboarding : Facilitate the integration of the sensor into existing farming processes.
  • Solution Identification : Proactively identify new solutions to meet customer needs.
  • Collaboration : Work with engineering and field teams to add and communicate value to customers.
  • Presentations : Present at customer meetings and trade shows.
  • Marketing Support : Assist with the development of marketing literature and suggest materials or reports for distribution.
  • Technical Support : Install and troubleshoot beacons.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Background in Agriculture : Knowledge of farming practices and agricultural technology.
  • Proactive, Self-Starter Attitude : Demonstrates initiative and the ability to work independently.
  • Exceptional Communication and Presentation Skills : Strong ability to convey ideas clearly and effectively in both verbal and written formats.
  • Technical Proficiency with Visual Aids (PowerPoint) : Capable of creating and delivering compelling presentations.
  • Drive to Succeed and Initiative : Motivated by achieving goals and continuous improvement.
  • Clear Expression of Technical and Nontechnical Concepts : Ability to simplify complex information for diverse audiences.

Compensation and Details
  • Salary : $80,000 - $100,000 plus commission.
  • Benefits : Comprehensive medical and dental insurance, paid time off (PTO), and professional development opportunities.
  • Travel : Must be able to travel to Boise for in-person meetings and regularly travel (up to 30%) to develop business.
  • Location : Ideally located in Washington, Idaho, Oregon, California, Arizona, Michigan, Wisconsin, Arkansas, Mississippi. Other locations will be considered.
