SUMMARY:

Develop, cultivate, and expand strategic relationships with Mortgage Brokers and Non-Delegated Correspondents (NDCs) to generate profitable loan production for VIP's Third-Party Origination (TPO) channel. The primary duty of this position is to obtain new business and increase loan production by soliciting new accounts, expanding existing client relationships, and serving as a trusted advisor to business partners. This position customarily and regularly performs work away from VIP's place of business through in-person meetings with current and prospective clients, attendance at industry events, and other field sales activities. The Account Executive exercises independent judgment in managing an assigned territory, developing business opportunities, and achieving established production goals while partnering with internal teams to deliver an exceptional client experience and compliant loan execution.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Develop and execute a territory sales strategy to identify, solicit, and acquire new Mortgage Broker and Non-Delegated Correspondent relationships that align with VIP's strategic objectives and production goals.
  • Customarily and regularly conduct in-person meetings with prospective and existing broker partners at their offices, industry events, training sessions, and other business locations to generate loan production and strengthen client relationships.
  • Grow production from existing broker and correspondent partners by identifying new business opportunities, expanding product utilization, and providing consultative sales support.
  • Independently manage an assigned sales territory and pipeline, prioritizing sales opportunities, prospecting activities, and client engagement to achieve established production and revenue objectives.
  • Maintain an accurate and timely CRM documenting prospecting activities, client interactions, sales opportunities, active pipelines, applications, and renewals.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor by providing guidance on loan structuring, product eligibility, underwriting guidelines, pricing considerations, and loan delivery requirements to help clients identify appropriate lending solutions.
  • Collaborate with Account Managers, Underwriting, Operations, Secondary Marketing, and Leadership to facilitate efficient loan execution, resolve issues, and maintain momentum from application through funding.
  • Lead regular pipeline discussions with internal teams and broker partners to proactively identify obstacles, coordinate solutions, and improve loan pull-through.
  • Assist broker partners with onboarding, approval applications, and renewal activities to support ongoing production and strengthen long-term business relationships.
  • Deliver training and educational presentations regarding VIP products, technology platforms, underwriting guidelines, and process enhancements through in-person and virtual meetings.
  • Represent VIP at trade shows, industry conferences, networking events, educational seminars, and client functions to promote the company's products and expand market presence.
  • Gather competitive intelligence and market feedback to identify emerging opportunities, recommend product or process improvements, and support VIP's strategic growth initiatives.
  • Conduct all sales activities in compliance with company policies, investor requirements, federal and state regulations, and applicable industry standards.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum five (5) years of successful wholesale, correspondent, or retail mortgage sales experience, with wholesale and/or Non-Delegated Correspondent experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated success developing new business, managing sales territories, and consistently meeting or exceeding production goals.
  • Established network of Mortgage Brokers and/or Correspondent clients preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of mortgage products, underwriting guidelines, pricing, secondary market fundamentals, and loan delivery requirements.
  • Proven ability to independently develop client relationships, identify sales opportunities, and grow production within an assigned territory.
  • Excellent presentation, negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with disciplined CRM usage and effective pipeline management.
  • Ability to travel regularly throughout the assigned territory and attend industry meetings, conferences, and client events as needed.
  • Demonstrated professionalism, integrity, accountability, adaptability, and commitment to delivering an exceptional customer experience.
