The Head of Strategy & Operations will define the company's strategic direction and build the operational machinery to execute it across business operations, marketing, and insurance functions. This role involves leading cross-functional initiatives, managing leadership cadences, and driving data-driven decision-making to scale the organization effectively.
You will develop and execute a market thesis to build a profitable insurance program while managing the program's P&L and underwriting guidelines. Additionally, you will lead brokerage relationships, collaborate with engineering and data science teams, and build out the program team as it scales.
You will be responsible for sourcing and launching new insurance programs by building a pipeline of opportunities and securing capacity partners. You will collaborate with senior leadership to define portfolio strategy and represent the company to reinsurance brokers, carriers, and MGAs.
Own Nirvana Insurance Services’ accounting close, ASC 606 commission revenue recognition, FP&A cycle, reinsurance economics, premium trust funding approvals, and financial oversight of agency agreements. Lead a small accounting and finance team, partner with business-unit leaders, coordinate audit deliverables, and prepare financial narratives and results for the board.
You will own the roadmap and execution for core platforms, including pricing, risk, and AI systems across the insurance policy lifecycle. You will collaborate with engineering, data science, and GTM teams to translate customer needs into scalable product solutions.
