The Opportunity 

Riskonnect, Inc. is seeking an exceptional Vice President, Global Pre-Sales to lead and evolve our worldwide pre-sales organization. This executive leader will be responsible for building, developing, and optimizing a high-performing global team that enables sales success, supports company growth objectives, and delivers a world-class customer buying experience.

Reporting as part of the Sales organization, the Vice President, Global Pre-Sales will partner closely with Sales Leadership, Product Management, Professional Services, and Customer Success to ensure the pre-sales function is strategically aligned to the needs of the business. This leader will be responsible for organizational design, talent development, operational excellence, and ensuring the team has the structure, skills, processes, and resources necessary to help achieve revenue targets globally.

The successful candidate will lead a global organization consisting of Sales Engineers, Solution Architects, Subject Matter Experts, and a Center of Excellence team responsible for demo environment development, custom demonstrations, and pre-sales enablement activities. While maintaining an understanding of complex SaaS solution sales, this role is primarily focused on leadership, team development, scalability, and cross-functional alignment.

 

The Global Pre-Sales organization supports the following areas:

  • Sales Engineering, including product demonstrations and proof of value activities
  • Sales Solution Architecture, including implementation scoping, statements of work, and level-of-effort development
  • Subject Matter Expertise supporting strategic deals, complex customer requirements, and specialized product domains
  • Center of Excellence operations, including trial environments, customized demonstrations, and reusable pre-sales assets
  • RFP/RFI support and sales enablement activities
  • Collaboration with Product Management to provide customer and market feedback that influences product strategy and roadmap
  • Partnership with Professional Services to ensure successful transitions from the sales process to implementation and delivery

Primary Responsibilities Include

  • Lead, develop, and inspire a global pre-sales organization while fostering a high-performance, customer-focused culture.
  • Design and evolve the organizational structure, roles, operating model, and resource allocationrequiredto support company growthobjectives.
  • Partner closely with Sales leadership to ensure pre-sales resources, priorities, and investments are aligned to revenue goals and market opportunities.
  • Establish consistent processes, methodologies, and best practices across all global pre-salesfunctions.
  • Recruit, coach, mentor, andretaintop talent while creating clear career development paths across the organization.
  • Develop performance metrics and operational insights to measure the effectiveness, productivity, and impact of the pre-salesorganization.
  • Ensure Sales Engineers, Solution Architects, Subject Matter Experts, and Center of Excellence teams have the tools, training, and supportrequiredfor success.
  • Collaborate with Product Management to communicate customer, market, and competitive feedback that informs product direction and roadmap priorities.
  • Partner with Professional Services leadership to improveimplementationreadiness, solution scoping, and successful customer handoffs.
  • Establish scalable processes for demo management, solution architecture, statements of work, and strategic deal support.
  • Manage departmental planning, budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation activities.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the pre-salesorganization.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadershipregardingpre-sales strategy, organizational needs, and market trends.
  • Travel asrequiredto support employees, business initiatives, leadership meetings, and key company events.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in Pre-Sales, Sales Engineering, Solution Consulting, or related SaaS leadership roles, including significantpeopleleadership responsibilities.
  • Proven experience leading and scaling global pre-sales organizations in a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) environment.
  • Demonstrated success managing managers and leading geographically distributed teams.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise software sales processes and the role pre-sales plays in achieving revenueobjectives.
  • Exceptional leadership, coaching, talent development, and organizational design skills.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to translate company growthobjectivesinto effective organizational strategies.
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and executive communication skills.
  • Experience developing operational metrics, capacity planning models, and organizational performance measurements.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience in Risk Management software markets is aplus, butnotrequired.
  • Experience working in high-growth, global SaaS organizations strongly preferred.
