Position Summary: This is an exciting opportunity to join the team in a period of strategic growth as a Vice President Development. KCG is looking for a self-driven individual with aspirations for personal growth and future advancement to perform the following:

Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the development activities of a property from the initial formation to a completed project.
  • Lead the pre-development activities which include but not limited to, market and site selection, contract negotiations, zoning/rezoning, deal structure, underwriting, relationship building, management of internal and external partners, etc.
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of 4% and 9% LIHTC projects
  • Evaluate the financial feasibility. Manage the project proforma analysis including budgets, schedule, timing and underwiring assumptions.
  • Evaluates and oversees the process of securing zoning and other local government entitlements required for development.
  • Assemble and oversee the development team including the hiring and supervision of architects, engineers, development consultants, attorneys, etc.
  • Work with local officials and work with community stakeholders to build support for your developments.
  • Analyze and understand State Qualified Allocation Plans in connection with the submission of applications for 4%/9% Low Income Housing Tax Credits.
  • Prepare and submit financing applications for the Low-Income Tax Credit, Bonds, HOME and various other finance applications
  • Work with other departments to track milestone progress throughout the life cycle of each transaction.
  • Coordinate assignment of relevant work to various team members (construction, analysts, accounting, etc.) as needed to move the development forward.
  • Prepare and present investment committee packages for executive level review

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be an organized, entrepreneurial leader with attention to detail and strong analytical, time management and problem-solving abilities
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication and be able to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced work environment
  • Must have multifamily development experience
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent, ideally in Business, Real Estate, Finance, Architecture, Urban Planning, Engineering, or a similar field with at least 7 years' experience
  • Experience in the affordable housing industry required
  • Ability and willingness to travel
