Who we are looking for

Bluegrass is seeking an experienced and commercially minded Talent & Resource Manager to grow and manage our technology talent and staff augmentation function.

This is a 360-degree role combining business development, account management, technology recruitment, resource planning, contractor management and commercial administration. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new client opportunities, growing existing accounts, recruiting suitable technology professionals and managing placed resources throughout their engagements.

The role will manage the full talent process, including identifying client requirements, sourcing and interviewing candidates, coordinating client interviews, closing placements, onboarding resources and maintaining regular contact with clients and consultants.

We are looking for someone with a proven track record in technology recruitment or staffing, preferably with experience building a recruitment desk, developing new clients and managing staff augmentation accounts.

The ideal candidate will understand modern software delivery teams and have experience recruiting talent across disciplines including .NET, React, React Native, JavaScript, AI, Cloud, DevOps, QA, Product and Delivery.

This is not a traditional internal recruitment position. It is a commercially focused role that will contribute directly to the growth of Bluegrass Digital’s Talent Solutions business.

Our core practices include mobile applications, web and software application development, digital experience and content management platforms, cloud services, managed services and technology talent solutions. Our teams include UX and Design, Business Analysis, Project Management, Software Development, Quality Assurance and DevOps.

Key responsibilities include

Business development and account growth

  • Identify, approach and develop new clients requiring technology contractors, staff augmentation teams or permanent technology talent.
  • Build and manage a qualified pipeline of Talent Solutions opportunities.
  • Develop relationships with technology, procurement, HR and business leaders within prospective client organisations.
  • Grow existing client accounts by identifying additional resource requirements and opportunities.
  • Prepare proposals, rate cards and commercial submissions.
  • Participate in client meetings, presentations and commercial negotiations.
  • Maintain accurate opportunity, client and activity information within the CRM.
  • Work towards agreed revenue, gross-profit, placement and new-client targets.

Technology recruitment

  • Manage the complete recruitment lifecycle, from understanding requirements through to successful placement.
  • Research, source and screen candidates across software engineering, Cloud, DevOps, QA, Product and Delivery roles.
  • Coordinate interviews and support clients and internal hiring managers throughout the selection process.
  • Negotiate offers, contractor rates and start dates.
  • Build and maintain a strong network of directly sourced candidates.
  • Develop relationships with offshore and specialist talent suppliers where appropriate.
  • Maintain regular communication with candidates and consultants.
  • Provide salary benchmarking, market intelligence and hiring advice.

Resource and contractor management

  • Manage staff augmentation and contractor engagements from onboarding through to renewal or offboarding.
  • Conduct regular check-ins with placed resources and client stakeholders.
  • Monitor resource performance, engagement satisfaction and potential risks.
  • Track contract expiry dates, renewals, notice periods and resource availability.
  • Maintain visibility of the available talent pipeline and anticipated client requirements.
  • Support the resolution of resource or client concerns in conjunction with Bluegrass management.

Commercial administration

  • Coordinate client MSAs, SOWs, contractor agreements, renewals and related documentation.
  • Maintain accurate placement, rate, margin and contract information.
  • Ensure documentation is completed before resources begin client engagements.
  • Work with finance and management to support invoicing, contract renewals and margin management.
  • Provide regular pipeline, placement, resource and commercial reports

Required Experience

  • 5 or more years’ experience in technology recruitment, staffing or talent solutions.
  • Proven experience developing new clients or managing a 360-degree recruitment desk.
  • A demonstrable record of achieving placement, revenue or gross-profit targets.
  • Experience recruiting within software development, digital product engineering or technology consulting.
  • Experience managing contractors, staff augmentation engagements or professional services resources.
  • Good understanding of technical roles and modern software delivery teams.
  • Strong client relationship, account management and stakeholder-management experience.
  • Experience using direct sourcing techniques across LinkedIn, GitHub and other relevant professional platforms.
  • Experience working with applicant tracking, recruitment or CRM systems.
  • A relevant qualification in Human Resources, Business, Organisational Psychology or a related field would be advantageous, but should not be mandatory.
