The Role

As a Talent Acquisition Partner, you’ll play a critical role in helping Sparrow attract and hire exceptional talent as we grow. Reporting to the VP of People & Culture, you’ll partner closely with leaders across the organization to understand their hiring needs, develop effective sourcing strategies, and guide candidates through a thoughtful, high-touch hiring process.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys the challenge of finding hard-to-reach talent, building relationships before there is an open position and making the hiring process easier and more effective for everyone involved.

In this role, success means more than filling open positions. You’ll build trusted partnerships with hiring managers, develop a strong and continually growing talent network, bring creative sourcing strategies to the table, and create a candidate experience that reflects the Sparrow brand.

What You’ll Do

• Partner strategically with hiring managers to understand business needs, team dynamics, and the profile of successful candidates
• Own the full-cycle recruiting process from sourcing through offer and pre-hire
• Develop creative sourcing strategies to identify, engage, and nurture both active and passive candidates
• Leverage and continuously expand your internal and external network
• Screen, assess, and interview candidates while providing thoughtful and actionable feedback to hiring managers
• Serve as a candidate advocate throughout the process, ensuring candidates feel informed, respected, and excited about Sparrow
• Create an efficient, consistent, and engaging interview experience by setting clear expectations and maintaining timely communication
• Coordinate virtual and in-person interviews and manage the offer and pre-hire process including extending and negotiating offers
• Build strong relationships with hiring managers and serve as a trusted advisor throughout the hiring process
• Help strengthen hiring practices across the organization, including adoption and effective use of our ATS, JazzHR
• Provide regular visibility into recruiting activity, pipeline health, and hiring progress
• Continuously evaluate and improve our recruiting processes, tools, and candidate experience

What You Bring

• 3+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience with a proven track record of successfully filling a variety of roles
• In-house recruiting experience, particularly within multifamily housing, is preferred but not required
• A strong track record of building relationships and connecting with high-quality talent
• A creative, strategic, and “outside-the-box” approach to sourcing and engaging passive candidates
• Experience using an ATS such as JazzHR, with an interest in maximizing technology to improve recruiting efficiency and hiring manager adoption
• Experience influencing hiring managers and building adoption of effective recruiting and hiring practices
• A strong sense of urgency and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, growing organization
• The ability to learn quickly, adapt to changing priorities, and take ownership
• Natural curiosity and a continuous-improvement mindset
• Self-awareness, humility, and a willingness to receive and apply feedback
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Proven ability to build collaborative partnerships and lead through influence
