Position Summary
The Staff Accountant is responsible for supporting the day-to-day accounting operations of Three Strands by ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial transactions, maintaining financial records, and assisting with month-end close activities. This role partners closely with internal departments and vendors to manage accounts payable, expense reimbursements, bank reconciliations, payroll support, and other accounting functions. The Staff Accountant contributes to the timely and accurate reporting of financial information while supporting operational excellence across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Review source documentation to ensure revenue is accurately calculated and recorded.
Manage the accounts payable process, including vendor setup, invoice processing, and timely payments.
Maintain vendor records, including W-9 documentation, and ensure compliance with company policies.
Process employee expense reimbursements and administer the corporate credit card program.
Perform monthly bank account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
Assist with month-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
Support the preparation and data entry for semi-monthly payroll processing.
Monitor and follow up on outstanding accounts and resolve aged balances as appropriate.
Maintain accurate accounting records and prepare financial reports in accordance with company standards.
Assist with financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting activities as assigned.
Utilize accounting software and other financial systems to support daily accounting operations.
Maintain complete and accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
Participate in process improvement initiatives and provide accounting support for special projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Masters in Accounting
4+ years’ experience
Have excellent knowledge of excel
Understanding of accounting rules and procedures including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Experience with QuickBooks, Salesforce, Bill.com, Sage Intacct preferred
Work Environment
Prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer
Occasional standing, walking, or lifting up to 20 pounds
Travel Expectations: 10%
