About the Company

At Current, everything starts with people. We believe that when you invest in talent through opportunity, development, and support, you unlock growth for individuals, firms, and clients alike. That’s why we’ve built a platform designed to give our people access to more: more learning, more collaboration, and more ways to grow their careers than any single firm could offer on its own.

Founded in 2023, Current has rapidly become one of the fastest-growing accounting platforms in the country, partnering with more than 40 leading accounting firms across the United States. Today, our community includes over 2,000 professionals, 30+ offices nationwide, and a growing global workforce that supports clients around the world. We’re building something bigger than a traditional accounting firm: a platform where talented people can grow faster, learn more, and do more meaningful work. Whether you join Current, one of our partner firms, or our global team, you’ll be part of a community shaping the future of the profession.

About the Role

We’re hiring a Senior HR Business Partner (HRBP) to serve as a strategic advisor to business leaders and partner firms—aligning people strategy to business goals and helping leaders build healthy, high-performing teams.

You’ll partner closely with leaders and our Human Capital Centers of Excellence (Recruiting, L&D, Total Rewards, Benefits, Payroll, HR Ops/Compliance) to implement scalable people programs and drive consistent adoption across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with business leaders to translate firm strategy into clear people priorities (workforce planning, org design, leadership effectiveness)

  • Lead quarterly people metrics reviews (hiring, attrition, engagement, org health) and drive action plans

  • Coach leaders on performance management, employee relations, and risk-aware decision-making

  • Facilitate succession and talent reviews; support career pathing and Individual Development Plans (as tools are rolled out)

  • Support change management and post-integration stabilization during periods of growth and transformation

  • Ensure consistent, compliant application of people practices; partner with HR Ops/Compliance to close gaps

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience, including 3+ years of experience as an HRBP

  • Demonstrated experience partnering with senior leaders in high-growth, multi-location environments

  • Strength in organizational design, performance/ER coaching, talent planning, and change management

  • Comfort using data to diagnose issues, prioritize work, and track outcomes

  • Ability to influence without authority and build trust quickly with varied stakeholders

  • Strong written and verbal communication; pragmatic, execution-oriented approach
