The Senior Strategic Key Account Manager will lead strategic account planning and business growth for key French accounts in the renewable energy sector. They will also manage and develop a team of account managers while acting as a central hub for cross-functional collaboration on complex, multi-product energy deals.
Responsibilities
Act as the senior strategic lead for key French accouts, ensuring long-term partnership and business growth
Lead, coach, and develop a team of Key Account Managers, driving performance and professional growth
Develop and execute strategic account plans to exceed revenue, margin, and cross-selling targets for utility-scale PV, BESS, and mounting solutions
Position integrated energy solutions (modules + storage + mounting) to maximize customer value, moving beyond single-product sales
Collaborate cross-functionally with technical, product, delivery, and marketing teams to ensure seamless execution of complex, multi-product deals
Monitor French energy market policies, regulatory frameworks, and subsidy mechanisms to provide strategic insights to internal stakeholders
Represent Trina Solar at executive summits, client workshops, and site visits; manage strategic client entertainment budgets
Drive internal collaboration acting as the “Super Hub” between client strategy and company resources
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related field; MBA is a plus
10+ years of B2B key account management experience in renewable energy, with a proven track record in utility-scale PV, energy storage, or trackers
Demonstrated experience managing strategic accounts such as EDF, Engie, and Equans at a senior level
Proven team leadership experience (formal or informal), including coaching, performance management, and talent development
Strong understanding of integrated solutions (modules, BESS, mounting structures) and solution selling
Solid commercial acumen including pricing strategies, margin optimization, and financial modeling for multi-product deals
Experience with EPC tenders, framework agreements, and complex contract negotiations
Fluent in French and English (C1 or above); additional European languages are a plus
Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and cultural awareness to operate effectively across French and European markets
