The Senior Site Reliability Engineer will own and evolve production infrastructure across GCP and AWS for two SaaS platforms, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security. Responsibilities include managing database operations, implementing infrastructure as code, leading incident response, and optimizing cloud costs.
We are looking for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE / DevOps) to take ownership of production infrastructure across two SaaS platforms: Userflow and Beamer.
You will be responsible for the reliability, scalability, security, and cost efficiency of both platforms, which operate on separate technology stacks across US and EU regions. Together, they serve more than 52 million end users, making infrastructure performance and uptime critical to the customer experience.
This is a hands-on, senior-level individual contributor role with significant autonomy and direct collaboration with the CTO and engineering team. You will establish reliability standards, strengthen infrastructure automation, lead incident response, and ensure the platforms can scale as a small engineering team continues to ship rapidly using AI-powered development tools.
We are looking for someone who can independently make technical decisions, take ownership of production environments, and balance reliability with development speed.
Reliability Engineering: Define, implement, and maintain Service Level Objectives (SLOs) for critical customer-facing workflows, including SDK delivery, authentication, the product builder, and AI-powered features.
Cloud Infrastructure: Own and evolve production infrastructure across GCP and/or AWS, including Kubernetes, networking, autoscaling, and infrastructure upgrades across US and EU regions.
Database Operations: Manage ClickHouse and relational databases, including PostgreSQL or MySQL, with responsibility for replication, backups, recovery testing, and capacity planning.
Infrastructure as Code: Maintain and improve infrastructure automation using Terraform or similar tools, covering cloud resources, networking, and Cloudflare configuration.
Monitoring and Observability: Own observability systems using Grafana, Sentry, and related tools. Establish actionable alerting and maintain visibility into production health.
Incident Management: Lead on-call operations, production incident response, root cause analysis, and postmortems. Drive preventive improvements based on incident findings.
Security and Isolation: Implement rate limiting, tenant isolation, and dedicated infrastructure environments for enterprise customers.
CI/CD and Deployment: Build and maintain reliable deployment pipelines, progressive delivery processes, and fast rollback mechanisms to support frequent releases without compromising production stability.
Cost Optimization: Monitor and optimize infrastructure spending, including cloud resources and AI/LLM usage.
Compliance: Support security controls, documentation, and evidence collection for SOC 2 compliance.
7+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, Platform Engineering, or a closely related role.
At least 3 years of direct production ownership within a SaaS environment.
Deep hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and/or AWS.
Strong production experience managing Kubernetes environments, including deployments, networking, scaling, and upgrades.
Proven experience implementing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or equivalent tools.
Production experience with ClickHouse or another columnar database, alongside PostgreSQL or MySQL.
Experience operating distributed and multi-region production environments.
Strong understanding of observability, monitoring, alerting, and incident management.
Solid CI/CD experience, including deployment automation, progressive rollouts, and rollback strategies.
Ability to independently assess technical risks, prioritize reliability improvements, and make sound infrastructure decisions.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate directly with engineers and executive leadership.
English proficiency: C1 or C2, with the ability to communicate technical decisions clearly in a distributed, international team.
Experience using AI coding agents such as Claude Code or similar tools for infrastructure automation and engineering workflows.
Advanced experience with the Grafana ecosystem, including Prometheus, Loki, and Grafana OnCall.
Previous experience supporting SOC 2 or ISO 27001 audits.
Experience operating embedded JavaScript SDKs or mobile SDKs at scale.
Experience managing dedicated infrastructure or isolated environments for enterprise SaaS customers.
Experience optimizing cloud infrastructure and AI-related operational costs.
Work Arrangement: Fully remote.
Hiring Region: Latin America.
Time Zone: Must be able to maintain strong working-hour overlap with US-based leadership and engineering teams.
Seniority: Senior individual contributor with end-to-end production ownership.
Reporting Structure: Directly reports to the CTO.
Compensation: USD-based, to be determined based on experience and technical expertise.
First 90 Days
Map and document both production infrastructure environments.
Establish SLOs and implement actionable monitoring and alerting.
Put a structured on-call process in place.
Identify and deliver at least one measurable reliability or infrastructure cost improvement.
First 12 Months
Both production environments are fully managed through Infrastructure as Code.
Failover and disaster recovery processes are tested and documented.
Safe, reliable deployments are happening multiple times per week.
An enterprise-grade tenant isolation model is implemented.
Infrastructure and AI-related operational costs show a measurable downward trend.
Production reliability is consistently maintained as both platforms scale.
Userflow is a product adoption platform that helps businesses guide users toward realizing the full value of their products. Its capabilities increasingly include AI-powered experiences, such as its Adoption Agent.
Beamer, its sibling brand, provides in-app announcements and changelogs that help businesses communicate product updates directly to their users.
Both platforms operate within customer applications and serve a combined audience of more than 52 million end users across the United States and Europe.
Joining the team means taking ownership of infrastructure behind two established SaaS products, working directly with the CTO, and helping a lean engineering organization move quickly while maintaining high standards of reliability and performance.
High-impact ownership: Take direct responsibility for production infrastructure across two established SaaS platforms.
Direct access to leadership: Work closely with the CTO and have a meaningful voice in technical decisions.
AI-driven engineering: Join a team that actively integrates AI tools into its daily development workflows.
Meaningful scale: Support two products reaching more than 52 million end users.
Autonomy: Work in a lean engineering environment without unnecessary corporate layers.
