Position Summary
The Senior Personal Injury Intake Lawyer serves as the legal subject matter expert (SME) within the Intake Department while also functioning as a high-performing sales closer. This position is designed for an attorney licensed and practicing in a country outside of the United States with a minimum of four (4) years of experience in personal injury law and case management.
The ideal candidate combines strong legal knowledge with exceptional communication and sales skills to improve conversion rates, support the intake team, ensure legal accuracy during the intake process, and drive operational excellence.
Minimum Qualifications
- Licensed attorney in a country outside of the United States.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience handling personal injury cases.
- Strong background in case management and legal analysis.
- Proven ability to communicate legal concepts clearly and confidently.
- Demonstrated success in sales, client intake, or client relationship management.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and process improvement skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Subject Matter Expert (SME)
- Serve as the primary legal resource for the Intake Department.
- Provide guidance to Intake Specialists on legal questions, case eligibility, and issue resolution.
- Stay current on personal injury laws, state-specific requirements, and industry best practices.
- Educate the intake team on legal updates and practical application during client consultations.
Sales & Client Conversion
- Conduct consultations with prospective clients and effectively communicate the value of legal representation.
- Utilize consultative sales techniques to maximize client retention and conversion.
- Achieve a minimum performance goal of 10 signed clients per week.
- Assist Intake Specialists with difficult or high-value consultations to improve closing percentages.
Pending & Under Review Management
- Take ownership of cases that are in Pending or Under Review status.
- Review pending files to identify obstacles preventing retention.
- Contact prospective clients to address concerns, answer legal questions, and convert pending matters into signed cases.
- Work collaboratively with the Intake team to reduce pending inventory and improve overall conversion metrics.
Case Management Support
- Review case facts for completeness and legal viability.
- Ensure proper documentation and accurate case information prior to file acceptance.
- Identify issues requiring attorney review and escalate appropriately.
- Assist in developing best practices for case evaluation during intake.
Problem Solving & Operational Excellence
- Resolve complex intake and client-related issues efficiently.
- Identify workflow inefficiencies and recommend process improvements.
- Support management with quality assurance initiatives and legal compliance.
- Assist with special projects that improve department performance and client experience.
Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Partner with Intake Management and Team Leads to create, update, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures.
- Ensure SOPs reflect current legal standards, operational processes, and best practices.
- Assist in training staff on newly implemented procedures.
Attorney Collaboration
- Coordinate and participate in monthly meetings with supervising attorneys.
- Review state-specific legal changes, procedural updates, and emerging trends in personal injury law.
- Communicate legal updates to the Intake Department and incorporate changes into departmental procedures.
Performance Expectations (KPIs)
- Minimum of 10 client sign-ups per week.
- Improve pending case conversion rates.
- Reduce the volume of cases remaining in “Under Review” status.
- Maintain high client satisfaction during consultations.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of SOPs.
- Provide ongoing legal guidance and mentorship to the Intake team.
- Participate in monthly legal update meetings and ensure implementation of any procedural changes.

- Sales background.
- Experience in personal injury is required.
