H2 Performance Consulting (H2) is seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Network Engineer to lead our initiatives, ensuring the highest level of network reliability, security, and performance. The senior cloud network engineer will play a pivotal role in the planning, design, implementation, and optimization of our modern networking solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of modern networking technologies with a focus on next generation security, Software-Defined Wide Area Networking, extensive experience in network architecture, and a proactive approach to solving complex networking challenges.

The Senior Cloud Network Engineer responsibilities will include:

Participate in network modernization planning and demonstrate a deep technical understanding of modern network designs and architectures.

Lead the design and architecture of Naval Enterprise Networks, ensuring scalability, redundancy, and optimal performance.

Use cloud-based Arista networking solutions and processes to deliver capabilities to the network and its users.

Use DevSecOps principles to securely deliver network engineering configurations.

Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering their growth and development.

Collaborate with vendors to evaluate and select networking equipment and technologies that align with customer objectives.

Required Qualifications:

Must have a DoD 8570.01-M, IAT level 2 certification.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

8+ years of hands-on experience as a network engineer, with a strong emphasis on cloud networking.

Expert-level knowledge of routing and switching.

Experience with Arista Cloud Vision solution.

Familiarity with various network management tools: NNMi, Netscout, HPNA, and Aternity.

Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting next-generation security products with vendors, such as Palo Alto, Juniper.

Experience with Azure Express Route, Virtual Private Clouds (VPC), and other cloud networking services.

In-depth understanding of network security principles and practices.

Palo Alto PCNSE certification preferred.

Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations.

Strong communication and leadership skills.
