Partnership Development Manager -  Lisbon & Northern Portugal

About the Role
This role will support our Currencies Direct business in Lisbon and northern Portugal, focusing on the real estate sector. You’ll take full ownership of the sales cycle - from prospecting and qualifying to onboarding and nurturing long-term partnerships. Your goal will be to identify, cultivate, and develop relationships with key players such as estate agents, legal firms, wealth managers, and notaries, turning them into profitable, lasting collaborations.
You’ll collaborate closely with internal commercial, customer success, and product teams to ensure smooth delivery and strong partnership outcomes.
 
What You’ll Do
  • Identify and engage new partners and business opportunities across Lisbon and northern Portugal.
  • Build relationships with key decision-makers within the real estate and professional services sectors.
  • Manage the entire sales process independently - from prospecting and cold calling to negotiation and closing.
  • Develop a strong pipeline and continuously drive performance against sales targets.
  • Provide exceptional support to partners, ensuring product knowledge and service delivery meet expectations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to enhance partner experience and business growth.
  • Maintain accurate CRM data and meet core activity metrics.
What You’ll Need
  • 10+ years of experience in B2B sales and partnership development.
  • Proven track record in acquiring new customers and closing high-value deals.
  • Highly driven by commissions and success metrics; thrives in a competitive environment.
  • Skilled in prospecting, networking, and negotiation with high-level stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to build trust quickly.
  • Strong objection-handling and problem-solving abilities.
  • Self-motivated, resilient, and focused on delivering outstanding service.
  • Fluency in European Portuguese and English (both spoken and written).
Bonus Points
  • Experience in property, FX, financial services, SaaS, or professional sectors (legal, accounting, or wealth management).
  • Existing network within Portugal’s real estate and financial ecosystem.
