SAP MM (Materials Management) Consultant

• Relevant Experience Required: 4+ years of dedicated configuration and implementation experience within the SAP MM module
  
• Mandatory Certification: SAP Certified Application Associate - Procurement (S/4HANA preferred)
  

• Configure core SAP MM components, including Purchasing documents (PR, PO, RFQ, Contracts), Master Data (Material, Vendor/Business Partner, Info Records, Source Lists), and Inventory Management (Goods Movement, Physical Inventory).
  
• Design complex release procedures with and without classification for purchasing requisitions and purchase orders, utilizing dynamic approval workflows.
  
• Optimize Valuation and Account Assignment parameters, aligning material movement types with automatic general ledger account determination rules in finance.
  
• Implement robust Inventory Control strategies, configuring Split Valuation, Batch Management, Serial Number profiles, and Special Stocks (Consignment, Subcontracting).
  
• Configure Logistics Invoice Verification (LIV) pipelines, managing invoice parsing, tolerance limits, price variances, and automated blocking/release mechanisms.
  
• Collaborate with ABAP and middleware teams to develop functional specifications (RICEFW) for custom purchasing layouts, custom reports, user exits, and EDI/IDoc supplier integration.
  
• Ensure seamless module cross-integration between SAP MM and adjacent functional modules, including SAP FICO, SD, PP, and EWM.
  

Requirements

• 5 to 8 years of core SAP functional configuration experience, with 4+ dedicated years deploying and supporting the SAP MM ecosystem.
  
• Strong technical mastery of SAP ECC or S/4HANA configuration tables, P2P document types, material type controls, and movement type logic.
  
• Deep structural knowledge of procurement operations, supply chain logistics, vendor master architectures, and physical inventory counting cycles.
  
• Mandatory certification: SAP Certified Application Associate - Procurement.
  

• Prior S/4HANA conversion experience, specifically with Business Partner (BP) validation and operational sourcing tools.
  
• Experience integrating SAP MM with digital procurement networks like SAP Ariba.
