Position Summary
Edify promotes holistic and high-quality Christ-centered education in partnership with low-fee independent Christ-centered schools. The Salesforce Systems and Engagement Officer is a full time position that will thrive in a challenging, innovative, and empowering mission-focused work environment. This role will play a hybrid role that balances technical data execution with user-facing training and support across our Latin America operations. As Edify continues to scale, this position bridges the gap between the technical backend (automation, SQL, and database management) and staff enablement (training, onboarding, and adoption).
This role is designed as a blend of technical and user enablement work: some of your time will be focused on technical sustainability, system configurations, and exploring programmatic solutions, and some will be dedicated to empowering our field staff in Latin America, running training sessions, and translating user feedback into clear system improvements. This position reports to the Salesforce Lead and will work closely with our Salesforce Engagement Officer in Africa.
Work Environment
This position will be full-time based in Any of Edify operational countries in Central or South America , reporting to the Salesforce Lead. The atmosphere of Edify is one where you can expect to perform widely varied tasks related to the role.
Travel Expectation
The position requires the ability to travel as needed. Up to 25% travel may be required for
regional/global conferences, gathering field feedback, or training staff.
In addition to regional travel, Edify holds an annual all-staff meeting, alternating in a US-based or international location each year. Travel would be required to attend this meeting.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Technical Administration & Data Engineering
- AppExchange & Tech Stack Management: Assist in the administration, troubleshooting, and optimization of Edify’s third-party Salesforce ecosystem and integrated packages. This includes managing forms (FormAssembly), offline mobile data collection tools (Taroworks), document generation apps (PDF Butler), and learning management systems (IDE/TalentLMS).
- Data Auditing & SQL/SOQL: Utilize SQL/SOQL to query databases, troubleshoot data inconsistencies, and audit data integrity/hygiene. Master Bulk Import Tools and/or Data Loader to manage large-scale data migrations with high precision.
- Advanced Excel Analytics: Leverage advanced Excel functions (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, data cleaning formulas) to manipulate, format, and audit complex relational datasets before system ingestion.
- Configuration & Flows: Design, test, and maintain Salesforce Flows, validation rules, and custom formulas to drive platform efficiency and enforce data integrity.
- Reporting & Visualization: Partner with global stakeholders to build, optimize, and maintain complex dashboards and unified reports for leadership, ensuring metrics are clear and accurate.
- Code Foundations: Under the guidance of the Salesforce Lead, actively learn and apply basic Apex or Javascript programming and custom configurations to help systematically absorb consultant-led technical tasks.
- Training, Enablement & Change Management (50%)
- Regional Onboarding & Training: Lead the Salesforce platform onboarding and continuous training of the operations staff in Central and South America, translating complex platform configurations into practical, easy-to-understand daily workflows.
- Process Optimization & "Ride-Alongs": Actively engage field staff through interviews, focus groups, and virtual "ride-alongs" to identify system friction points, simplify data-entry burdens, and streamline field processes.
- Localized Helpdesk Support: Manage the regional Central America and South America technical support queue. Act as an empathetic, collaborative partner to solve staff errors and system bugs, escalating to the Salesforce Lead when necessary.
- Knowledge Base Management: Keep all training resources, Salesforce Knowledge articles, and LMS enablement content up-to-date and tailored to the unique operational context of the staff in Central and South America.
Experience and Education Required:
- Salesforce Experience: 2–4 years of hands-on experience as a Salesforce Administrator or Power User. Salesforce Certified Administrator designation is required (or must be earned within the first 3 months).
- Data & SQL Proficiency: Definite, proven experience working with relational database concepts and querying data via SQL or SOQL.
- Advanced Excel Skills: Mastery of Excel for data manipulation, audit preparation, and data cleaning.
- Enablement & Training Aptitude: Prior experience in software training, customer service, technical onboarding, or user support. Excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Bilingual Fluency: Complete professional fluency in English and Spanish (written and verbal).
Additional Preferred Technical Qualifications:
- Integrated Apps Familiarity: Previous hands-on experience configuring or troubleshooting tools like Taroworks, FormAssembly, or PDF Butler.
- Coding Aptitude: Prior experience with, or a defined, strong interest in learning code (Apex, JavaScript, or Python) to expand into programmatic Salesforce development.
- Salesforce Ecosystem Familiarity: Experience with Non-Profit Success Pack (NPSP) or Sales Cloud, and familiarity using JIRA for agile change tracking.
