Administer and maintain the Salesforce org, resolve complex user and business issues, manage security and data quality, and configure platform features, integrations, and third-party tools. Collaborate with stakeholders and the Scrum team, maintain documentation and org health, participate in Agile ceremonies, and mentor a junior administrator.
Salesforce Administrator As a Salesforce Administrator on the Digital team, you keep our Salesforce org healthy and help users get the most out of it. You solve complex cases, support business teams with their requests, contribute to the development and/or maintenance of features in our Salesforce org, and own initiatives that require technical knowledge such as setting up integrations. You work closely with other team members from the digital team (product owner, solution architect, developers, scrum master, functional specialists, other admins), and with stakeholders and users from other departments.
Key responsibilities
Supporting users and the business
Provide Level 2 incident support: review and solve complex cases, including, for example, data issues, permissions and access problems, automation/Flow errors, and integration/sync failures.
Identify bugs that go beyond configuration or L2 support, document them clearly, and escalate them to the Scrum team when necessary
Communicate with stakeholders to understand their needs and issues, keep them informed on progress, and coordinate with other departments and the Scrum team when issues need to be escalated
Support business activities such as data loads, mass emails, custom configurations, advanced reports and dashboards, etc.
Apply best practices for case management, utilizing service cloud features and AI tools
Managing the digital platforms
Design, configure and maintain functionality on the Salesforce platform using declarative tools
Support the Product Owner in gathering requirements by offering solution options and highlighting dependencies with the existing implementation
Maintain and govern permissions and security (profiles, permission sets, sharing) following least-privilege principles
Understand existing automation (Flows, validation rules, etc.) and code (Apex, triggers) well enough to troubleshoot them effectively
Set up integrations with Salesforce, from requirements gathering to support/maintenance
Follow Salesforce releases and assess their impact on our org
Run regular org health checks and act on what they reveal
Keep documentation of the org’s configuration and processes up to date
Use, configure and support installed packages and third-party tools in our org (for example Mass Mailer, DocuSign), including troubleshooting issues with them
Working in the team
Take part in Agile Scrum ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Review, Retrospective, Daily Stand-ups)
Mentor and guide the Junior Salesforce Administrator
Developing yourself and others
Stay up to date on Salesforce updates and improvements
Give and receive feedback constructively, and support teammates by sharing knowledge and helping when others are stretched
Use AI to work more effectively, for example in troubleshooting, documentation and analysis
Requirements
Experience
4+ years of hands-on Salesforce administration experience
Exposure to more than one Salesforce org
Knowledge and skills
Solid knowledge of permissions and security, and of data management (data loads, deduplication, data quality)
Ability to read and understand automation and basic code, to troubleshoot rather than build
Understanding of how integrations work, ideally including marketing automation platforms and identity providers such as Okta
Familiarity with Salesforce health monitoring and the release cycle
Knowledge and experience with AI, within Salesforce (for example Agentforce, Einstein) or external tools (for example Claude with MCP)
Strong communication skills, in particular explaining technical topics clearly to non-technical users
