Company: Berry AI
Location: Remote
Department: Sales
Employment Type: Part-Time
Reports To: VP of Revenue
Berry AI builds vision AI camera systems that help quick-service and fast-casual restaurants turn the customer journey into real operational insight. Our drive-thru and counter timing systems, along with our loss-prevention tools, give store-level managers and multi-unit operators visibility that legacy loop timers and manual timing simply can't match — real-time alerts, drive-off detection, bottleneck identification, and cross-location performance comparisons. In 2025 alone, our platform processed 55 million vehicles, and brands using Berry AI have seen measurable gains in comps and speed of service.
We're a practical, no-nonsense team. We stay humble, confront mistakes head-on, favor action over polish, and keep things simple. If that sounds like how you like to work, we'd like to meet you.
We're hiring a Sales Development Representative to assist us with building qualified pipeline for our sales team. This is an outbound-focused role: you'll research and identify the right restaurant brands and operators, reach out across email, phone, and LinkedIn, and turn cold and warm prospects into qualified opportunities for our Account Executives to close. You'll be one of the first people a prospective customer talks to about Berry AI, so how you represent us matters.
This role is fully remote for the US, and we're looking for someone with at least one year of sales development, inside sales, or customer-facing experience who's ready to take ownership of their pipeline.
Research and build target account lists of QSR and fast-casual brands, multi-unit operators, and corporate restaurant groups using prospecting tools and market intelligence
Run consistent outbound outreach across cold calls, email sequences, and LinkedIn to generate new sales conversations
Qualify leads against our ideal customer profile, assessing fit, need, timeline, and decision-making authority
Book qualified meetings for Account Executives and hand off clean, well-documented context so nothing gets lost between first touch and demo
Keep prospect and activity data accurate and current in HubSpot, and use Apollo.io to manage prospecting workflows and sequences
Hit monthly and quarterly targets for outbound activity, qualified meetings, and pipeline generated
Partner with marketing and sales leadership to share feedback on lead quality, messaging, and what's resonating with prospects
Stay current on the QSR industry, restaurant operations trends, and competitive landscape so conversations with prospects are informed and credible
Continuously refine your outreach approach based on what's converting
At least 1 year of experience in sales development, inside sales, or a customer-facing sales role
A track record of hitting or exceeding activity and pipeline targets
Comfort and confidence with cold outreach — calls, email, and social selling — and the resilience to handle rejection without losing momentum
Strong written and verbal communication skills; you can write a compelling, personalized email and hold your own on a discovery call
Hands-on experience with a CRM (HubSpot preferred) and a sales engagement/prospecting tool (Apollo.io preferred, or similar platforms like Outreach, Salesloft, or ZoomInfo)
Strong organizational and time-management skills — you can manage a high volume of prospects without letting things slip
A curious, coachable mindset and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Comfort operating in a fast-moving startup environment where priorities can shift
Experience selling into the restaurant, hospitality, retail, or physical-security/IoT space
Familiarity with computer vision, AI, or other hardware-plus-software SaaS products
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field (not required — relevant experience carries equal weight)
Competitive base salary plus commission.
