Reliable Security Staffing LLC is seeking an Entry Level Remote Staff Accountant to join our accounting team in Atlanta, GA. This full-time, remote position offers an excellent opportunity for someone looking to launch their accounting career while supporting a growing company in the Security/Investigations industry.

As a Remote Staff Accountant, you will be part of a dedicated finance team responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting daily accounting operations, and ensuring compliance with company policies. You will work closely with management to help streamline payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger processes across our security staffing operations. .

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable processing
• Support month-end and year-end close processes by preparing journal entries and account reconciliations
• Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with established procedures
• Process invoices, expense reports, and payment requests in a timely manner
• Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts
• Assist with payroll preparation and tracking of employee hours, particularly for remote security personnel
• Prepare financial reports, summaries, and schedules for management review
• Support audits by providing documentation and financial data as needed
• Collaborate with the finance team to identify process improvements and ensure compliance
• Respond to internal inquiries regarding billing, payments, and financial records
• Monitor and track company expenses to ensure accuracy and proper coding
• Perform other accounting-related duties as assigned to support daily operations

Requirements

• Entry-level accounting experience or relevant coursework; training is available for the right candidate
• Understanding of basic accounting principles and financial concepts
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including spreadsheets, formulas, and data entry
• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy when working with numbers
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills to manage multiple tasks
• Ability to work independently and stay motivated in a remote work environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Familiarity with accounting software or enterprise resource planning systems is a plus
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information professionally
• Basic knowledge of payroll processing or accounts payable/receivable is preferred
• Willingness to learn and adapt to the specific needs of the security staffing industry
• Reliable internet connection and a suitable home office setup for remote work
