Our organization requires a learning experience designer and curriculum development contractor in support of our educational micro credentialing initiative. We are passionate about inspiring students to engineer a better tomorrow, and are developing a credentialing strategy to support skills development and career readiness for industry. We need a team member who shares our passion for connecting industry and academia through workforce preparation. We are looking for a learning experience designer/curriculum developer to work alongside our global academic strategy team and other stakeholders to help design and develop course content (partly based on existing materials and partly new content creation) and lead digital learning experience design of learning outcomes, skills competency mapping and assessment development. Learning Experience Designer/Curriculum Development Contractor
Our organization requires a learning experience designer and curriculum development contractor in support of our educational micro credentialing initiative. We are passionate about inspiring students to engineer a better tomorrow, and are developing a credentialing strategy to support skills development and career readiness for industry. We need a team member who shares our passion for connecting industry and academia through workforce preparation.
We are looking for a learning experience designer/curriculum developer to work alongside our global academic strategy team and other stakeholders to help design and develop course content (partly based on existing materials and partly new content creation) and lead digital learning experience design of learning outcomes, skills competency mapping and authentic assessment development.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop a series of innovative, accessible and engaging, modules for a global, virtual, ondemand micro credential, including:
  • Learning outcomes
  • Assessment framework
  • Universal Design Learning framework
  • Skills/competencies identification and criteria
  • Content adaptation of existing assets and new content creation, including presentations, articles, videos, podcasts, and interactive elements
  • Learner assessments that fit the audience, map to learning outcomes, and function effectively within the delivery format and platform
  • Learning evaluations and feedback mechanisms for continuous improvement
  • Project-based learning and personalized learning methodologies
  • Collaborate on overall credential strategy and development planning
  • Work with team and other stakeholders to align course content development with delivery format, platform requirements, any technology access that may be included, etc.
  • Create support documentation (standards alignments and scope and sequence)

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience with instructional or learning experience design for asynchronous learning, including online course development for higher education audiences preferred
  • Experience with managing curriculum development processes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with the ability to adjust tone and style appropriately
  • Experience with common authoring tools such as Camtasia, Adobe Captivate, Storyline, Articulate, Adobe Creative Cloud, etc.
  • Highly organized
  • Ability to deliver high-quality course materials to deadline
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other team members and subject matter experts, including but not limited to higher education faculty
  • Demonstrated expertise and enthusiasm with Web Accessibility and UDL, embedding equity, diversity, and inclusion practices
  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Learning Experience Design, Curriculum Development, Instructional Technology or other relevant fields of study
  • Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and other educational technologies

Desired:

  • Background in engineering, engineering instruction and/or STEM
  • Experience with course development for Gen Z learners and global audiences
  • Familiarity with pedagogy/andragogy
