Position : Senior Recruitment Consultant - Fashion & Retail

Salary : Competitive South African base salary plus a  
                                                        strong commission structure

Working Hours & Conditions:      Approximately 30 hours per week — six hours  
                                                        per day, five days per week, Strong alignment
                                                        with the Australian business day; exact shift

Currently, the team is looking for a dependable and professional Recruitment Resourcer to assist in sourcing, vetting, and pre-qualifying high-calibre talent for active job openings. This role transcends basic administration; with routine data tasks fully automated, the core objective centers on active candidate engagement and the delivery of qualified shortlists. Prioritizing long-term stability and professional growth, the firm boasts an exceptionally high retention rate within its offshore team, with the previous incumbent serving for over three years.

ROLE OVERVIEW:

The client is seeking an experienced agency recruiter with a strong understanding of the fashion, retail, beauty, lifestyle or e-commerce sector. Working remotely from South Africa, you will manage recruitment assignments, build relationships with clients and candidates, and develop specialist talent networks across our Australian and US markets. We are looking for someone commercially sharp, proactive and confident managing a recruitment desk. You will bring sector knowledge, strong headhunting skills and the ability to represent the client professionally with senior clients and candidates. RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage recruitment assignments from briefing and sourcing through to interviews, offer negotiation and placement. 
• Understand client businesses, role requirements and hiring priorities, and provide informed recruitment advice. 
• Proactively headhunt candidates using LinkedIn Recruiter, direct outreach, referrals and specialist networks. 
• Build and maintain talent pipelines across your areas of expertise. 
• Assess candidates’ experience, technical capabilities, motivations and suitability for each opportunity. 
• Present well-qualified shortlists with clear, accurate candidate summaries. 
• Manage candidate relationships throughout the process, maintaining regular communication and a high standard of service. 
• Coordinate interviews, gather feedback and keep recruitment processes moving. 
• Manage your desk, prioritise assignments and maintain accurate records within the recruitment CRM. 
• Identify opportunities to deepen client relationships and secure repeat business. 
• Work closely with the wider team across Australian and US recruitment assignments.

• Fashion design, production and garment technology. 
• E-commerce and digital. 
• Marketing and sales. 
• Retail operations and head-office functions.

Requirements

Essential 

● Solid recruitment agency experience, with current or recent experience recruiting within fashion, retail, beauty, lifestyle or e-commerce. 

● A strong understanding of your specialist market, including relevant roles, skill sets and candidate profiles. 

● Demonstrated success managing recruitment assignments and delivering placements. 

● Strong headhunting and candidate management skills. 

● The ability to build a talent network and manage a recruitment desk with ownership and urgency. 

● Commercial confidence and credibility when speaking with senior clients and candidates. 

● Practical experience using LinkedIn Recruiter and recruitment CRMs. 

● Excellent written and verbal English. 

● Strong organisation, attention to detail and consistent follow-through. 

● The ability to work independently in a remote environment. 

● Genuine, ongoing availability to work hours strongly aligned with the Australian business day. 

Highly regarded 

• Experience recruiting for Australian or US clients. 
• International recruitment exposure and confidence working across markets and time zones. 
• Experience recruiting senior or executive appointments within fashion and retail. 
• An established network within a relevant specialist market.

Working hours: 

The role requires approximately six hours per day, five days per week, with strong overlap with the Australian business day. This will involve early starts in South Africa.
